The CD he was in I don't has ever been won by a Democrat since the Civil War. That is a very select group indeed. He was in the wrong CD.

Don't forget that the independants are very strong in MN hence Jessie the Gov and Tim Penny. Nobody will get 50%. Pawlenty will win the governorship.

By the same token Colorado gov will pull Allard in.

With 57% negatives, never polling above 43% Davis doesent look so good in Ca. LOW voter Turnout, many saying they will undervote the race and usual trend of undecideds breaking for the challanger, we have another race to look at Wed morning. Imagine spending 67 million dollars and only getting 43%?

I agree on Sununu because a Republican is gaining the governorship. That alone may pull some votes his way. I feel the same about CO and AR, with pubbie governors running hard, there have to be some coattails there with straight ticket voting (which is all that some people do)

Am also optomistic about the outraged Minnesotans and South Dakotans, who have been mightily embarrassed by fraud and complete lack of class of the Dem team.

I think Mitt may lose, and so will Erlich, and in both cases, with fraud.

Coleman doesn't have to do anything in that debate except sit back and let Mondale make a complete arse of himself. I saw some footage of Mondale today, from a rally in Duluth. The guy is so, so bad on his feet. You can hear those old, creaky wheels turning in his head before each answer.

Also -- the latest is that the Coleman/Mondale debate will be at 10:00 a.m. and it will only be heard on Minnesota Public Radio. The Dems are desperately keeping Mondale out of the spotlight as much as possible.

Can anyone tell me what is happening in Alaska on Senate and governor races and PLEASE tell me what they think Golisano will do in NY? Is it possible for him to throw this race to the Dems somehow, just to get even with Pataki? Now THAT would be FRAUD!!

Sorry -- I meant to write that the Coleman/Mondale debate will only be heard on MPR and seen on KARE-11. But it WILL take place at the prime hour of 10:00 a.m.

Tonight I'm feeling upbeat. Here goes:

Jeb takes FL
Mitt takes MA
Erlich takes MD
Simon, believe it or not, takes CA

Republicans take: MO, MN, GA (keep NH and CO)
Dems take: AR (keep NJ)

GOP up by two seats.

In the Senate, Dems pick up GOP seats in AR, CO and NH and either NC or TX. GOP picks up only one of the currently Dem seats in MN and MO. Johnson wins in SD, possibly fraudulently and Cleland hangs on in GA. Landreu is forced into a runoff in LA but wins. At least one Senate race will be undecided Wednesday morning, and it/they will ultimately go to the Dems. Dems +3.

House: Dems +2. Morrella (R)MD loses to Van Hollen.

Governors: Simon makes it reasonably close but loses to Davis in CA (gag). Kathleen Kennedy Townsend wins in MD (double gag) with a huge surge of black support and possibly ballot stuffing in Baltimore. The race will be extremely close in FL, but I'm not predicting the outcome. Once again though, black turnout will be higher than white.

mason-dixon has sanford up 7, the computer poll has hodges ahead. M-D has been reliable in the past and automated polls have been horrible. I think Sanford oughta pull it out.

Lamar, Blackburn, Bowling, Van Hilleary GOP sweep. I held my noise and voted for Lamar, just to keep leftist bob out of office.

I even held my dogs nose when I voted for Lamar! But anyone is better than Bob "we represent the lollipop kids" Clement!

And I agree with you...Van and Bowling will win. Marsha's a shoe in!

You hear all those ads because Bredesen is desparate! He just illegally shoved another $3 million of his own money into the campaign last Thursday. Bredesen is left using TDOT as an issue, and while I too am getting tired of the endless construction, it's not a major issue.

I sat in Memphis for an hour just last Friday and even heard those Bredesen ads against TDOT while sitting on I-40. In no way would I let that determine how I was going to vote and any voter that would is a moron.

Democrats: NH, CO, AR

CO stays with Allard....AR will send Hutchinson back (I was just in AR over the weekend....Hutch is everywhere and the generic Pryor signs are recycled from his dad's elections)....NH is the tossup but I think Sununu will pull it out!

FReeper Jay Wolfe defeats Senator Jay Rockefeller in the biggest upset of the year, perhaps of the decade. I got sources.

You heard it here first.

I agree on the TDOT ads. I don't know who told Bredesen that TDOT was such a hot button issue. I'm secretly tempted to believe a clever Republican operative has gotten into Bredesen's inner circle and deliberately misguided him.

I can just see the meeting between this operative and Bredesen:
"Phil, this is the issue that's going to propel your campaign to victory - TRAFFIC!"
Phil: Really? I wouldn't have thought...
Absolutely! Everyone is mad as hell but they're not saying anything.
Phil: Wow, I know it's bad, but...
Seriously, Phil, let's dump a ton of money into radio ads telling people you'll finally be the man to lay down the law with TDOT. People will love it. They'll vote for you in droves.
Phil: Well, yeah, I guess that's a good idea, if you say that's the hot button issue, but still I wouldn't have thought...
Cool. It's done. I'll get an ad copy this afternoon and we'll buy up all the airtime left from now until Nov. 5th. You'll see. This is ingenious.
Phil: OK, great. Thanks. What was your name again?
Gotta run... I'll get this on the air this afternoon. Oh, I'll probably need a little advance money... say, $500,000. I'll get it from your assistant.

Clean sweep for the Pubbies in Texas. We retain all statewide offices and the Rat "dream team" goes down in flames.
