I recorded the stair stumble on youtube @1080 @ 0.25 speed. Watched the recorded version on my phone and reduced speed even more.

What's evident in the first stumble is his left foot dragging/dropping and not clearing the nosing of the step but hitting it with the toe of the shoe.

Same with second step.

On the third step, the most serious fall, left foot twists slightly and he hits the nosing at the instep, starts falling, hits his left shin hard on the nosing.

Contrary to press he wasn't brushing dust/dirt from his pants, he was massaging the painful shin bark. Been there, done that, quite painful.

As he continues up his gait changes, both feet get lifted noticeably higher for the remainder of the climb...several probably cause... Parkinsons, TIA ( mini stroke) and a few others.
