Allred first ran for Congress (and won) in 2018. He beat Pete Sessions, who had been in office for many years. During this cycle, his TV commercial bragged that he had signed the USMCA, opened a new VA hospital (that Sessions got the money appropriated for), and signed onto the PPP/recovery bill. Re-elected for another term. Oh, his biggest accomplishment in the commercial, the birth of his son. Yipee! The dude is a lawyer and operates on about 3 brain cells.
I hope we can heal our country, but I doubt we can. Ashlin Barrett was the first victim of the next war - Revolutionary War 2.0. However, I think if it happens, we will get China and Russia involved. We need to fight, but if RW 2.0 happens, we better be sure we can win.

Andy Harris, the only Republican congressman from Maryland, due to incredible gerrymandering, has always seemed very conservative and reasonable. He is also a medical doctor. I hope that he was on our side in this altercation.

I received a letter today from ( minority) leader McCarthy requesting a donation. He was bragging about the increase in Republicans in the house. I sent it back saying that I was no longer a Republican. I changed to unaffiliated today.
As I said on another thread, I can’t wait for my first Gutless Old Pricks fundraising letter in our now post-constitutional republic. They will learn a few new words.
My conservatively raised daughter is highly influenced by her Commie best friend. It has filtered down to the almost 21 year old granddaughter.......she proudly voted for Biden. Neither one of them are getting crap when I die.....if there’s anything left thanks to their votes.
If I recall correctly, many if not most Democrat members of the house did not attend President Trump’s inauguration. There was no call for unity in 2017 and President Trump had won the election fair and square, not stolen it

Most fundraising letters come with postage paid envelopes. I did think it was interesting that today’s request from McCarthy needed a stamp put on by me. I put it on there but I also wrote across the form.He will never see it but the fundraising firm that sent it out will.
And on Jan 20, once again all the signs & bumper stickers & tshirts saying, “Speak Truth to Authority” will be taken down, to be replaced by “Squelch Truth with Authority”
