My daughters went to an after school program for one year- at the end of the school year they handed out trophies to every student who went there.
I looked at the guy like “what is this for?” - he said “they all get one”...
Just for showing up to after school program.
My band played at the memorial day event here in town the past 2 years. they called all veterans up to the stage and unknown to me, they gave us all a small trophy just for being in the military at one time. I had no choice, it was join the navy, or be drafted and sent to Viet Nam, nasty place to be, and I was totally 210% against violence of all kinds, especially war...
I told them no thanks, don’t need a participation trophy. Even if I had volunteered, I’m also completely against the recent trend of participation trophies. Cant think of much that’s more ridiculous.
