If Marshalltown is about as bad, Storm Lake must be cartoonishly bad. I remember when Marshalltown was a gritty but prosperous place with some impressive payrolls (Fisher Controls, Lennox, C&NW Shop, Kiowa, the Trowel, Dunham-Bush, etc), fairly good shopping/dining and even some pretensions to culture on the prairie.
Now I go around it. No habla Espanol.
