Cummings could be thoughtful and one of the cooler heads you hope to prevail, but not when anyone is looking I guess. When people are looking, by golly, he is going to tow that party line, further and better than anyone else.
People like Donald Trump are rare. He saw the truth about the alleged human rights commission, which is anything but. Instead of just doing what presidents always have, knowing it is a fraud, he pulled the plug. Most of us will just take the effed-uppedness of the world and figure out how to dissemble and work around, maybe, and maybe not so much. We get tangled up in stupid terrible things rather than just ending them and doing something else. That is not the man that Elijah Cummings is, he is like most people I think. More is the pity.
