Democratic voters do, however, seem to have less confidence in their party—at least at the moment—than Republicans do in theirs.

This is a problem in both parties - I don't believe for a second that politicians like Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell are deserving of confidence or are more in touch with ordinary Americans and their issues than any Democrat. They have far more in common with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer than with any of their constituents.

Because the are? And unfortunately the Republicans aren't a whole lot better. They just appear better by comparison.

“Representative Debbie Dingell, a Michigan Democrat, believes the party needs to make a clear case that it will fight for the working class. “

BS. Mistress Dingel represents Dearbornistan, Total gov’t control of Health Care and Communism. She is in control of the Dingel family plantation of ‘rats that they have owned since 1930.

Long gone, even from the Right, is the concept of ‘ALL Citizens’. It’s the balkanization into classes the political class use to entice X v. Y v. Z v. ...instead of each realizing the same.

See: ‘Middle class tax cuts’, ‘working poor’, etc.

I call them “democratics.” That’s what they want to be called, the “democratic party.” So their members are democratics, not democrats.

Because they’re out of touch with reality and it shows.
