Ivanka and Jared are too liberal to be involved in Trump’s White House. Many on FR are not their fans.
Her being a liberal is only our business if she gets in her father’s admin and pulls him to the left of what we voted for.

I have never read a bigger crock of crap in my life. Name on bill or EO that Trump has signed that Ivanka has pushed. You need to pay attention because right now you are at the LEAST spreading libel against Ivanka. I don’t know where you get off spreading that crap. You are better then this.
I am not spreading libel. She says right in this article that you won’t see attribution to her influence, but she has influence.
What are we doing with things like a Canadian-American alliance on women in business? Are Canadian women so oppressed as to need our intervention—if we are going to intervene for women anywhere in the world?
Reports are that Kushner put the kabosh on Trump’s outreach to Taiwan. They are supposed to have been influential in bringing not just GOPe, but liberal Democrat types—e.g., Gary Cohn—into Trump’s government. And if you don’t think staffing is destiny at this level, you just haven’t been paying attention. She has gushed about global warming, and it was reported this week that the administration is considering a carbon tax (as well as a European-style VAT). I could go on, but their fingerprints are indeed all over the place—in people from Priebus on—and in policy.
And they don’t belong there.
No, her ideas on childcare subsidies—for parents making up to $300K are bad ideas across the board, as well as something that doesn’t constitutionally belong in the federal government. Yet, reportedly, there she was in meetings with Congress trying to get it into their tax bill.

She should have said, “What kind of crap question is that? Did you ever ask Michelle Obama if she was complicit in her husband’s ‘If you like your doctor...’ lie?” Sheesh.

America is made up of a lot of groups; one of the biggest groups is women. I think we can all agree on that. Then that group is broken down into lots of other groups but for our purposes let's just generalize it as one big group.
From what I can see; Ivanka is the women group's speaker for them. They channel their concerns through various intermediaries then it gets shaken down to what is really important to them. Ivanka gets this info filtered so she isn't dealing with a lot junk and we all know there's a lot of junk ideas and notions out there. She then shares these things the women groups are most concerned about with President Trump. I'm assuming she brings her 'A' game without all the emotion but with the Pros and Cons of each concern relative to the country. I believe her when she says she is working as a force for good.
The President cannot act on something he is not aware of and has all the pertinent facts so he can make an informed decision. Pretty sure they do it like this in big business before making any major decisions.
Running the country is like running a big business only a business normally makes a product or provides a service whereas the federal government produces policy, laws, guidelines, and regulations. This power is given to them with the consent of the people. It only works if the federal government produces good results or eventually the share holders, us the American citizens, will take that authority away from then in what might be called a revolution but sometimes it's as simple as not re-electing the CEO/President or some other key person at the upper levels.
We just had one such revolution against the status quo and elected Donald J. Trump to be our President. As we can plainly see; the status quo was not amused at all. Their mouth pieces in the enemedia are still suffering from severe butt hurt and show little sign of getting treatment for it.

Pretty sure all republicans believe the ACA needs to be repealed. On that they are united. They have it in their heads they now have to replace it with something that gives people the same benefits since they are now used to those benefits. If it can be done in an affordable way I’m all for it.
The AHCA they tried to pass to replace it with was a bad bill for America. Thank God the HFC stopped it from passing! It was even a hidden anti-gun bill; something no republican should ever embrace. Then again with the GOPe that’s so dem like; one never knows these days. Can’t stand the GOPe.
It sounds like the main concerns are being addressed and a new bill will be brought up in the House when the time is right. In the not-too-distant future the ACA is going to fail on its own. President Trump is not penalizing those who opted out of so it will fail even faster now. Soon the country will be ready for a bill that’s good for it and gets the government out of our lives enough to be palatable. In the meantime there’s lots of other things that need to be addressed like getting all the right people in place like those judge openings.
Contrary to popular belief; the US government can do multiple things at one time. :)
Spare me—that is the sickening identity politics of the Democrats, which isn’t surprising in that Ivanka is a Manhattan liberal and Trudeau is a Canadian socialist.
