Anyway, it turns out that Ted Cruz has already done the work – before the deadline – that will ensure that the people picking the actual delegates (and the delegates themselves!) will be people who rather like Ted Cruz.

Even had Trump known the twisted system there's nothing he could have done to change it...

Your side picks the players and counts the votes...It's like a massive RICO operation...

Compare that with Donald Trump who abstains and lets the GOPe pick his delegates for him. It is clear which of the two candidates is fighting against the GOP establishment.

“Every day in every way I hate Cruz and his minions just a little more.”
******************************************************************************
Yes, the incompetent, the inept, the lazy, the slackers and those who feel “entitled” who show up on a worksite near the end of the workday and expect to be then GIVEN all or the lion’s share of the payroll frequently hate the hard workers who show up early, work hard all day long and therefore “cheat” the slackers out of their entitlement to most of the payroll.

I didn’t realize we were voting on a used car salesman. Well now that I think about it, Lyin’ Ted is probably better suited for screwing people on cars than he is at persuading regular people to vote for him.

When he first took Citizen’s United empowered campaign donations?

Two questions:

1. Are you referring to 'Citizens United Not Timid'?
2. What's your DU handle?

Ronald Reagan took donations, was he a “tool” of the “bosses?”
When Trump says he finances his own campaign that just means he is bought by the most corrupt establishment donor of all.

He won’t answer that. The best you can hope for is to be accused of ‘stalking’ him.

It’s a pretty good question though.

Wait a minute - you oppose the Citizen United decision? and you are on a CONSERVATIVE forum?

In the last few months, I have seen some of them defend Planned Parenthood.

Yeah he gives up states where people vote. He left Florida cuz it was too hard to convince voters to vote for him. He skipped Arizona because it is to hard to convince voters to vote for him and he’s done the same in New York. He is awful if patriots vote.

Big deal that his father washed dishes. Rubios dad did too. I could care less. Ted went to elite universities on affirmative action admission.

It was the Democrats in power in Washington State that pushed the primary to later. The Republicans wanted it sooner. While the parties can decide how to do things (caucus, primary, mixed), for some reason it was up to the State Government on when it should happen:

http://legacy.king5.com/story/news/2015/08/11/washington-state-2016-presidential-primary/31479345/

excerpt:

Secretary of State Kim Wyman and state Republican Party leaders argued that holding the primary earlier in the cycle would make Washington a bigger player in the presidential campaign cycle.....

All five Republican representatives on the nine-member panel charged with setting the primary date voted in favor of shifting the primary to March 8. A two-thirds majority was required to make the change....

However, the Washington State Democratic Party opposed a March primary, saying the party has a strong tradition of holding caucuses to select delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

“The funds allotted for a meaningless primary election would be better spent on education, health care, and jobs,” said party chairman Jaxon Ravens.....

***************************

Note - in the past Washington state primaries (when they had them) were a non-binding beauty poll, like Colorado. This year it will be binding.

Cruz wouldn’t last a day if 500 million dollars in hate ads and #nocruz were implemented.

Cruz is scary smart and he’s on our side.

How scary smart can Cruz be when it wasn't until 2014 that he realized he was a Canadian citizen?

Trump is using his own money and winning. Ted is using super PACS by the hundreds of million and still losing. I’ll take trumps chances. If he runs the country as frugal as he runs his campaign. We are in great shape going forward. I remember his staff begging for more money in New Hampshire. Trump said no. Trump won easily. Trump is awesome. I think after 8 years of trump many will say, “who was Reagan? Oh trump’s placeholder for number 1 president in history.

>> I will do anything legal to win even if it is immoral

How exactly is it “immoral” to adopt a strategy of understanding the system and working within it to ensure victory?

And wouldn’t a candidate assume, before the start of the race, that his opponent will adopt just that strategy, so he’d better adopt it too?

The real question you should ask is “Why was the Trump campaign so negligent that they didn’t do the minimal work required to understand a state’s nomination process and put into place an organization to exploit it?”

Since when is hard work and preparation a “scam” in America? Cruz just out prepares and out hustles Trump.

I live in WA state and I recall getting an email from the Cruz campaign in February about the upcoming caucuses, asking for support at these caucuses.

I didn't even know that caucuses were happening until I got that email.

Turns out I couldn't go to the caucus. However, I got no email from the Trump campaign or any other campaign, for that matter.

You are correct. Cruz out-hustled Trump and the rest of the candidates.

It is hard to take that away from him.

>> I’m not saying he is literally cheating, but he is not focused on winning votes,

Ted does both. He campaigns hard, even in states like Maryland where he is not the favorite by the long shot. IIRC he was there today.

>> Cruz has been busy getting the committee that will decide those challenges loaded up with his supporters.

That’s the kind of guy I want for President. Smart. Hard-working. A planner; a strategist.

The nation is not a reality teevee show!
