Are you currently here working for a campaign?

Not really, although I am rooting for Cruz. You could say that I was working for the Santorum campaign at one time, even though I have never met the man and have never received a penny or any direction from the campaign. I hope that many people are politically active. Are you working for the Trump campaign? If not, why not? Don’t you care?

Yes, sure, those polls are how President Carter won his second term.

Actually Silver is a dem, so he doesn’t care if Cruz or Trump win.

True, and he has a professional reputation to protect.

If he leans I'd say its toward the candidate with the better data base...which is probably Cruz.

Many people here have been active in politics. Many may have worked in a campaign or for a politician. I have worked in Congress, many years ago. That's not an issue. I am suggesting that people who are posting at the behest of a campaign should at least disclose that fact. It's one thing if Aunt Sadie thinks Ted Cruz should be President. It's another thing if Ted Cruz's chief fundraiser for southern Jefferson County is here nonstop posting attack pieces that he gets sent to him within seconds of their hitting the wire, and then harasses Trump supporters non-stop on the forum. That's like paid disrupting. It's not "hey I found an interesting article, I'll share it with my fellow Freepers".

Just to be clear, there is one person on the Trump side who I suspect of also posting on behalf of the campaign. That person is less aggressive about it, though.

I have no problem with people posting and advocating for their guy, as long as it is clear that they are actually supporting him. In 2012 there was a poster whom I suspected to be a Romney operative. He never said whom he supported, but his posts were almost entirely attacks on Santorum, except when Gingrich was briefly in the running. Then his attacks were on Gingrich. I don’t like those kinds of operatives. The open and above board kind, I think that they are a good thing.

Yes, I think Reagan was farther behind at this point.

Reagan also didn't get Trump's crowds.

I won't denigrate Reagan to discuss Trump. They are two different people for two different eras. But both connected to people across a broad spectrum, from Reagan Democrat in the rust belt to yellow dog democrat in the South, northeastern moderate and conservative southerner, in the West (Arizona) and in the midwest (Missouri, Illinois). The issue of Reagan's day was the Cold War and the US military. The issue of our day is illegal aliens, trade, islam, and the military. On the key issues of the day, they would agree. No one else out there will support those people.

He connects, they trust him cause they know him, and when he is out campaigning in the general, and he is unfiltered by the MSM, they will go for him the way they went for Reagan.

Cruz? He wears on you, real fast. He will shrink Romney's map.

Thanks for asking the question. I visit the site very often particularly during elections. Very annoying to have one person spam constantly the message board with pro-Cruz articles. To have paid shills on internet sites for Cruz is not out of the ordinary. There are more than a few on Predictit as well.

Do you by chance work for the National Enquirer?

Did a web search. Many years ago there was a post where 2DV said he used to raise money for political folks. More recent threads show hospital stays and some difficult family situations.

I like 2DV threads. Although they take up too much of my time!

Actually Silver is a dem, so he doesn’t care if Cruz or Trump win. If anything he would prefer Trump since it increases the chances of a dem blowout of the pubs.

Both nonsense and wishful thinking...

Correct. I, too, voted for Reagan.

Fortunately, Donald Trump is his own man, unlike Ted Cruz, who is the GOPe's "man of the hour".

Reagan did several dumb things during his administration, such as the amnesty-laden Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

So the fact that Donald Trump is not Ronald Reagan is neither here nor there, but might very well turn out to be a plus...

http://wygop.org/2016-state-convention/

The above is the link to all the particulars about the Wyoming State Convention. Based on the precinct results it looks like it will go all for Cruz as well.

I posted the above so that Trump and Kasich voters don’t get confused and then post You Tubes about how they were “disenfranchised”. Heck - maybe even Mr. Trump can benefit from the information. I see that Wyoming is expecting a speech from a candidate. I guess we’ll have to wait and see which one that will be. ;)

If Wyoming is like my Washington State, the Cruz voters have received plenty of emails and phone calls reminding them to attend.

He might be better if he builds the wall, stop the refugees coming and beats ISIS. Those 3 things would put trump very high on the best presidents in history list easily. And then jobs....holy cow rival Washington and Lincoln. Trump has a ton of potential for greatness.

Just to point out the obvious, Kasich has been mathematically eliminated at least a month ago. So, in this years wacky race that's not a reason to get out.

I bet Scott Walker is still kicking himself.

Wishful thinking. Geez Cruz supporters try to interpret all the rules the way Obama does with his executive orders. I can’t
