Trump needs to concentrate on New York and other states to win this thing. Why should he waste his time with these phonies when they twist his words around. Screw them. Trump is playing it smart.

So Trump angered right to lifers by saying abortion should be punished if made illegal. Wow you can’t make this stuff up. Enjoy your circle jerk w the leftists, Cruz fans!

The worst kind of tool is one who doesn't know he is a tool. Even Trump backed off the comment so, using you standard, that makes Trump a Jerk with the left. Since 1980, when the GOP became pro-life, it has never advocated that women should be prosecuted for abortion. In fact, this has been the leftist and Media trap for decades against GOP candidates, all of which all didn't fall for except TRUMP.

If Trump thinks he can blow off and alienate social conservatives and still win the nomination and the election—well, lotsa luck. He’ll need it.

I know you want that to be true but how do you justify Trump’s comments about Planned Parenthood.

If you recall, he said PP should continue to receive federal funding because they do good things for women.

What good things? Is selling baby parts good for women?

And then there was his pathetic attempt to go far, far right on the issue by saying that women should be punished for abortion.

That only revealed how clueless Trump is on this issue.

When that punishing women thing backfired, Trump tried to walk it back.

How many things can Trump walk back without getting us all dizzy?

There are innocent Trump lovers who believe that Trump had a struck blind on the road to Damascus moment, when he became a true pro-life person.

A person with true convictions who knows exactly where he stands and why does not have to be cautious about any organizations; only a person with shaky principles who is afraid of being trapped into saying the wrong thing.

try to defend Trump without referring to another candidate or their behavior. Trump fans don’t appear to be able to.

Run your comments the way you want. Well do the same. Who the heck are you to say what we should do? Go screw off. You are arrogant to the 10th degree.

Yea, because the first impulse out of a REAL social conservative when asked "IF ABORTIONS WERE MADE ILLEGAL...", would have been "I would ignore the laws and still allow abortions".

“angered the movement by calling for “punishment” for abortion.”

Well, he didn’t, for starters, and hooking up with people who think that is true would not be wise.

Did you miss this part on purpose?

Fr. Frank Pavone, who heads Priests for Life, chose not to directly criticize Trump.

“Our organization reaches out to candidates regularly. Many of these conversations are off the record. But in fairness, let me make clear that Mr. Trump did not break any commitments to speak to me or any gathering I organize. On the contrary, I have had very friendly and fruitful interactions with him and members of his team and look forward to continuing that dynamic,” he said in a statement.

Priests at that level are usually very diplomatic. Read between the lines.

So a group that has been a leader in the pro life movement for years and as sponsored many workshops for people effected by abortion is not a pro life group, but a man who supports PPH and was pro choice his whole life prior to his presidential run is. You people are all delusional. But Trump is right about one thing. You all follow him so blindly there is nothing he could do or say that would change you minds. Many a dictatorship has been started by similar cults of personalities.

I would be very surprised if Trump appeared anywhere this week.

After his meltdown last night, he is probably in his bed in Trump Towers tweeting how Megyn Kelly cost him Wisconsin.

That is one of many reasons I am afraid of a Trump presidency ... which, fortunately, now seems unlikely.

I am afraid of his followers who support him blindly no matter what he does.

It just ain’t healthy.

Trump has a campaign event tonight in New York. Where’s Ted, checking into the Goldman Sachs hotel? He might want to hide from his NY values statement.

The title seems not to need the words from “Off” through the closing parenthesis.

The pro-life movement is corrupt and muddleheaded.

Roe v. Wade and the other abortion decisions are commands TO THE STATES, telling them they may not have or enforce laws against abortion.

Therefore, the people who have the duty to DISOBEY the USSC are the GOVERNORS.

From day one, the pro-life movement should have focused on the governors. Instead, the Catholic bishops and the movement as a whole focused on a “human life amendment.” In other words, the movement conceded that the USSC had the POWER to do what it did in Roe, Doe, et al.

The pro-life movement should be demanding governors who will nullify Roe, Doe, etc., and demanding that the President do nothing to interfere with nullification.

The March for Life should abandon its current purpose—lobbying for the doomed, futile “Paramount Human Life Amendment,” and focus on the governors.

The Catholic bishops, with about a dozen exceptions, are pro-abortion Democrats, and so are irrelevant to the pro-life movement.
