Read and learn:
The front of the schedule was loaded with proportional states. Now we are into the higher percentage of winner take all. New Jersey, NY, MD, PA will go almost entirely for Trump. Cruz will win Utah, but lose AZ. CA has Trump ahead again.
Cruz lost the south - completely - except TX. He has no path to the nomination.
It depends upon where you are getting your stats. According to Green Papers, after last night 1489 delegates have been awarded, for 60.23% of the total. Also, you have to keep in mind that several of the upcoming primaries are basically beauty contests, and the delegates will go the convention unpledged (ND, CO, WY, American Samoa, and 54 delegates from PA). That leaves only 855 pledged delegates available, meaning Trump would need to get 66% of the remaining pledged delegates to be sure he won on the first ballot.
You sure solicit a lot of vitriol when you mention Cruz.
These Trumpites or Trumptons or Trumpbots are all one sided in viewing things.
They cannot be convinced.
Reminds me of the true believers following Bernie.
“Cruz lost the south - completely - except TX.”
How can you possibly make that statement when delegates are awarded proportionately?
One does not ‘lose’ when one is awarded delegates.
Are you delusional?
Trump does not need someone else to drop to win based on math. If the voters don’t choose him (and apparently they are) then he loses. Cruz needed Rubio to drop, or now it’s Kasich, to “make a path for him”. If Cruz was as brilliant as everyone has said he was (even himself) would be not be in the lead?
If Ted truly is an outsider,
He is, from Canada.
Can’t get any more outside than that!!!
You just forgot the /s tag, right? Please tell me you did.
the math says that over 50% of all voters decided Trump should NOT be the nominee.
Is that simple enough for you?
And that says for Cruz?
You’ve been here a whole three months as a FReeper. I smell a ‘Rat.
“And that says for Cruz?”
Don’t understand your point.
YOu were talking about Trump weren’t you?
The point is Trump ALSO needs to have someone else to help him as he is not a majority.
There are different ways one can be here.
Define ‘different’.
Obviously, I must somehow make this even more simpler. Here it is :
over half of all voters have decided Trump should not be nominee.
OK?
LGBT
Over 75 percent of all voters say Cruz should not be the nominee .....according to your math.
Avoiding the different way you are here besides being a ‘Rat. LGBT. Uh huh. More like Karl Rove’s or Glenn Beck’s buddy. You lose.
Cruz got schlonged last night and has been schlonged pretty much every contest save a few. If you want to blame his dismal performance on every other candidate being in the race, fine. Ted’s going to have to man up, put on his Heidi pants and actually get some W’s. If he’s got it in him, fine. If not, get the heck out and go back to being a pariah senator with a record of nothing.
that still does not address the fundamental problem of less than half of GOP voters vote other than Trump.
So why can’t Trump just win on his own and need someone to drop out?
