The European elite are terrified of Trump because they fear their own citizens will adopt Donald's ideas.
No, they won't.
This is why Europe hates Trump -- he proposes to stop their wholesale theft.
It's a lot more complicated than that. A lot of things can go wrong in US-Europe relations, and with a leader who doesn't care about good relations, a lot will go wrong.

The Canadians won’t be thrilled with him either. Big Pharma also gives their socialized medicine program massive discounts on drugs because their U.S. market and be charged to cover it. Once they have to start charging global pricing to avoid reimportation, then the price charged for subsidizing socialized medicine programs must necessarily go up. You are right about an old issue that Trump has spoke about. The US subsidizes the world for their medicine.
