Can you elaborate, about what's "creepy" about Cruz? I wouldn't want to put words in your mouth.
The only thing that I've noted that is substantially different about Cruz from other, more GOP-e style candidates is his deeply felt and regularly expressed religious faith? Many less religious and nearly all radical atheists would consider religious faith disqualifying for any job or elected office, and specifically those of Christian faith (i.e. you know, the kind of folks who actually believe Jesus walked on water, the earth was created in six days, and etc.).
I keep hearing about that vague "creepy" thing, first voiced by Trump, in between his nonsensical "liar .. liar .. nasty guy" rants.
If you are actually "anti-Christian", I'd just like for you to fess up, so we all know where you're coming from. Thanks.

Well, try this experiment at home with your significant other. Start a little conversation with your husband/wife or girlfriend/boyfriend, as may apply:
And you could go on and on, just using Trumps favorite 100 catch phases. Be certain to "shout down" and scream and holler any time your mate tries to interject. Now after your all done, after you're finished, propose to the girl/guy you're dating, or if married, say "honey, this has been a blast. Let's get away for a special weekend, just you and me, so we can keep this stuff going! We're gonnna be TERRIFIC together!".
It doesn't work in real life, and it's not going to work for Trump in this election. He's being PERSONAL with every insult. There's no way he can walk this stuff back and unite the GOP in November, if he wins the nomination.
The only reason you get right into the middle of the America's conservative election bathwater, wrap yourself around the flag, illegal immigration and Amnesty, 2nd Amendment, Constitution and all of the other hot button issues, and then proclaim to all that, counter to the past 60 years of your life, you're now both a BORN AGAIN Christian AND Conservative, is not to win their vote for President in November, 2015.
Look, the "non-Trump" conservatives could be all wrong about THE DONALD, but it's not because they don't have honest concerns. If you removed all the names, and just posited a story like this with "stick figure A", "B", "C" and so forth attached to the candidate, one would logically expect that the bombastic candidate was trying to divide and crush the conservative movement. He's certainly not trying to get the votes of the 65% of GOP voters who have problems with his behavior, attitude, and past history.
And, if you think the primaries are fun, just wait until the Democrat's get their candidate ready for the Prom, and start going after Donald with thousands of pounds of operation research they have on him. Because, here's a little secret: THE DONALD has amassed more enemies in his business dealing than all the other GOP candidates combined.
Trump NEEDS every GOP vote, but he's not acting like it. Does he even intend to run for President?

I’m a Christian. Of course I don’t use it to get votes.
I think creepiness is a visceral reaction some people feel in response to the whole Cruz person/message. It is like pornography. Hard to define. They feel it when they see him. He shares this with Nixon.
Thanks, I don’t get that kind of vibe about Cruz at all, but then I don’t listen to Trump’s comments about Cruz, either.
I think you either do or don't. Apparently, there is a small sub-culture that really likes him. Doesn't hear the whiny voice. Isn't creeped out by his mannerisms. They only hear words and believe them. I understand.
