Trump has posited a baking process. What is half baked now will be fully baked if he makes it... and frankly he looks very likely to make it. All the signs are coming into place.
That’s your truth. It’s not everyone’s truth.
And it doesn’t make him a liar.
It makes you an insulter.
Why do you think things have gotten so nasty around here?
It’s because you ... and it’s mostly Trump people ... react with insults and meanness to everyone who disagrees with you.
Just sayin’
Dream on, baby.
I don’t trust him.
And thence is the problem.
Patience is a virtue sadly lacking today. But that’s how an edifice is put together that does not easily fall apart.
The perfect becomes the enemy of the “better than we are now.”
I never sought to sell Trump as the “perfect.” Or even as the “pretty good for an America that is in much better shape already.” He’s being touted as the man who is going to get the dangerously listing ship upright, not the one that is going to keep it the best managed thing you ever did see.
Absolute truth is absolute truth, and the closest approach to it involves the maximum number of viewpoints embraced in an explanation.
I’m not dreaming on when I posit he is the strong horse in this picture.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I've listened carefully to Trump, and as always, I reject socialism and unconstitutional government involvement in things like health care.
You are the one who is projecting your gloom prophecies.
"For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it."
-- Patrick Henry
There's even better answers, but it can't ever involve forgetting a "brother's keeper" attitude. This is innate to society. Normally its religious structures have mediated this. When the government bids fair to become its religion, we see a farce like the current situation.
Being our brother's keeper, in any scriptural sense, doesn't involve taking money at the point of a gun from one person and then handing it to another person. That's called theft, and it's unconstitutional.
Until we call on Jesus to push the Caesar idol's head out of the tent (to shamelessly mix many metaphors) we should not complain too much. We've invited it, yes you and I. And if you deny that I will be pickled tink (I mean tickled pink) to point out just how.
Frankly, with that kind of muddled thinking we're never going to get anywhere near saving this country.
Good point.
CALLING ON JESUS IS MUDDLED THINKING?!?
LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE
So, you're now admitting that what Trump is offering is unconstitutional socialism.
I guess the debate is over then. Thanks.
And no, Patrick Henry could not provide for the worst.
Only God could.
Patrick Henry was a liar.
You are carrying on like you had a magic wand to wave and make it not-socialism.
Well if you did, that wand is not Cruz, unless he changes very drastically.
He too is thinking in terms of rearranging the chairs on the Titanic’s decks.
At least Trump will also patch the hole in the hull too.
AND... Mr. Constitutionalism apparently has not heard of Bellei.
If Congress’s law gave you your citizenship when you were not born here... Congress’s law can take it away... and you are NOT NBC, Q.E.D.
As usual, you’re making wild assertions without basis.
I’m not a Cruz supporter.
Well, you must admit it is a bit of fun in our stressful decision to back the right guy to be our next president. Iron sharpens iron, no offense taken. :)
Trump is absolutely clueless about the American ship of state, and how to patch the holes in its hull.
Holes put there by statists just like Trump, and funded by him, by the way.
I feel good. I just walked Smitty on a long walk where it’s always warm and yet cool.
Trump hasn’t bought any ingredients. Right now, he’s lookin’ in a recipe book.
He is not a strong horse, or a steady horse. As the great Jimmy Carter said, he is malleable.
But, I’m outta here singing “We are Family.”
Readying yourself is often more than half the battle.
This would be more like holding a cooking contest. Who will come up with the most delicious Health Care with Spinach and Trump Truffles for the most economical investment? Or the like.
I would point out to our dear absolutists that they are in exactly this same kind of situation, except nobody has even brought out the stove and the pots. Just some self assured notion that somehow they can beat the pants off of what Trump will come up with. Well when they meet the real world, the story isn’t so nice and neat.
Even to look at America’s own founding through an honest eyeglass... what we see is a dance of clay footed men that, were it not for the grace of God, wouldn’t have gone anywhere at all. To re-enact the dance in duplicate is folly. It had ingredients we wouldn’t want, anyhow, such as chattel slavery, which America DID ride on the back of (I will grant that much to the BLM crowd). If Washington had no slaves, how could he fight at Valley Forge?
Anyhow we have something better than slaves to help. We have the Son of God (who came to serve and not be served) and His sacrifice that comes with an absolute promise. Slaves might run away. Jesus never will because His help is utterly voluntary.
Yes, I've had several tell me that also.....and explain why that will be much better than a single payer system.
You are the one wallowing in fantasy here. You would forever hold a man’s past against him... how about holding you to that standard? The Golden Rule is one of the invariants of this universe.
