Actually, by the GOPE’s own rules, passed recently when the TEA Party started looking like a threat (with cooperation from the DEMs), make a third party run almost impossible, especially when organized at the last moment. The candidate needs significant percentages of the votes, and none of the GOPe champions are getting close to even 8 pct. Even if they run only one name who takes ALL of the GOPe vote, they may not top 10 pct of likely voters.
