Nick Gillespie: Man of Reason
He needs to apply some reason to his deeply cherished beliefs.
Carson is toast; he’s got to know that. I think he’s only running to show that a black person can be a Republican candidate.
He’ll fade before January.
It’s fine to say the federal govt should stay out of it NOW that federal judge after federal judge after federal judge has overturned popular vote after popular vote after popular vote against ‘gay marriage.’ Sort of like closing the barn door.
We keep looking at people who aren’t qualified for that position (i.e., Carson, West, Cain, Keyes) just because of their ethnicity. How is that any different from what the Democrats do?
I generally like his positions but one is a big disenabler for me....he is anti gun.
Dumb statement on Carson’s part. The fact that brutal horny men, deprived of any other sexual outlet will rape weaker men, hardly proves it’s a “choice”. Prison puts people into primitive survival mode. Like in early civilizations, the stigma is only on the person penetrated, because it’s unmanly. Or as they say, someone’s bitch.
I remember once Bush was asked if being gay was a choice. He said he didn’t know. Instead of going into the briar patch of homosexual issues, let’s just say we don’t know what causes homosexuality and we don’t want to discuss it.
I’ve been saying that for years (you forgot J.C. Watts). Some conservatives want so badly to prove conservatives aren’t racist. I call it Confimative Action.
I “get” his position on guns. After being raised in Detroit, he practiced for decades in Baltimore. Disgusting, crime-ridden, burned out major ghetto. Their hospitals’ ERs have gunshot and/or knifing victims line up down the halls.
When my son was a patient at Hopkins in the 90’s, and we stayed at a hospitality facility for long term patients’ families, a facility you could see from the main lobby of that world class hotel, they insisted on guests being escorted there by guards. Its’ THAT bad.
How does one separate law abiding people’s right to bear arms vs. the criminal element, I just don’t know. If the latter had weapons removed, there’d be no question about the former.

I am not interested in the basis of his position. I look at the 2A and the last thing I want is anyone who is hell bent on altering it. FWIW as a child I was in a ward next to a slightly older kid who had been shot. It has not altered my position. Yeah, I was disturbed some kid got shot but I don’t think we need outlaw cars because some get maimed in accidents due to carelessness either.

That’s good advice, but I’m not running for POTUS. What we do know is that homosexuality is highly correlated to pedophile molestation of children and epigenetic effects.
We need to win and shrink the scope of government, before we can recapture our culture. Actually, American culture will be driven by parents and families and that means the cultural rot itself is a choice.
I would say unless they still do so it when they have the choice of heterosexual sex it doesn't. It means their libido trumps their natural inclination in an unnatural situation. Homosexuals' natural inclination is to the same sex.
