Okay. SSAD is an involuntary response to trauma. The victims don,t get to make a choice, any more than the victims of a car crash.

First of all, I think the correct answer to that question, from any presidential candidate, is "Why are you asking me that weird-ass question?" (The reply to which, if given honestly, would be "Because we're hoping you'll say something stupid, ya freak!")

They succeeded.

You confirm the theory. Lets be honest, all three do not have the qualification to be President. One is a surgeon who has never held public office (I include general rank as public office). One is a grifter who last held a minor rank in the State Department about 30 years ago. One was a one term (2 years) Congressman, he could not even hold that office, and junior officer. But all satisfy the yearning by some for the great Black Conservative. It seems some people believe that all we need is a candidate with a good tan, and viola, we win.

He lived down to the stereotype? Is that the stereotype of a brain surgeon being asked a question about homosexuality? He is too smart to be tricked by pc slogans.

His answer was smart and true. I’m not happy with “conservatives” singing false PC platitudes about homos or anything else. He should have also mentioned the high rate of AIDS among the Black heterosexual population due to prison homo behavior among heterosexual men.

This is looking like a rerun of the post-Reagan Republican Presidential primaries: a well-funded establishment candidate (likely Jeb Bush) vs. a crowd of conservatives of various stripes, plus a libertarian or two. We better hope the Democrats fumble the ball, as they did with the hapless John Kerry in 2004 or Mike Dukakis in 1988.

Dr. Ben Carson made one mistake - apologizing.

I am so tired of the homosexual mafia forcing their agenda on this country. You have to say a pervert lifestyle is wonderful otherwise they will have you blackballed.

People need to stand up to them like Phil Robertson did.

True. did you know that the wife of the mayor of New York is an ex-lesbian?

Doctors are usually considered, largely by themselves, the 'Smartest Guy in the Room."

So, they feel they must instruct the ignorant on EVERY question. They cannot resist applying their immense brainpower to all questions, whether they are within the realm of their expertise or not. They figure, "What the Hell, I gotta be smarter than these peasants!"

The best way to appreciate this phenomenon is to ask a flight instructor who has taught a couple of docs to fly. Not that they think they need any instruction. Then ask the insurance agent who sold the flying docs a policy. Unfortunately for him, our fair land is littered with airplanes wrecked by docs who already knew how to fly and immediately rushed out and bought "too much plane."

Doc Carson is the kind of doc whom other docs consider "really smart!" So he feels under a tremendous obligation to opine on EVERYTHING ...poor guy!

Correct answer to the reporter's question, "Go to prison. Talk to a queer. Leave me alone. BTW, you don't look all that well. You gay?m You had better get checked."

You understand his mindset completely. Dr. Dean of Vermont had the same problem. He never did regain frontrunner status after that wild Cowboy Yell.

....Doctor mindset....

No Lee, I was sympathizing with Dr. Carson! Naturally you do not understand. Let me explain. This God-imposed obligation to answer every question for the lesser beings is a burden I share with the good doctor.

I am not an MD, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once, and am far and and away the smartest guy in this whole damn trailer park. No, really.
Just ask me.
