A write in campaign is necessary
Or a successful court challenge in Mississippi.
Someone pointed out that voting for the dem keeps the msgop from being able to just appoint cochran’s successor the way they did Wicker. And have us fight THAT hand picked incumbancy forever after.
Lots to think about between now and Nov.
Won’t be counted according to this info:
http://www.tmcnet.com/usubmit/2011/01/16/5247199.htm
According to state law, write-in candidates are permitted only as the legitimate substitute
of a candidate who has died, resigned, withdrawn or been removed from the race.
That applies to every race, whether it’s a primary, special or general election at
any level of government, said Pamela Weaver, communications director of the secretary of
state’s office.
But every election ballot includes a space for write-in candidates, whether or not one
is needed for that race. It’s there just in case a write-in does become eligible.
And that’s perhaps where the confusion occurs, since some people see the space and assume
write-ins are allowed in all elections.

spoil sport —
He should run. Forget the GOP. It’s time for a new party.
I never thought I’d say that, but MS is a conservative state and deserves a conservative Senator. Cochran’s not a Republican, he’s a Democrat who got some Republican votes.
Elaborate, please.
This here is WAH!
‘Bout time We the People woke up and began to fight back!
It seems to me that if McDaniel were to run again, why wouldn't we expect the Mississippi GOP lowlifes to do what they did one more time? What a bunch of rotten b#stards they are!
Well I was on the write in ballot train until a poster made me aware of the info I posted.
I had been searching MS Code but was unable to find an answer. I assume the posted info
is accurate but that is the first I’ve heard of not being able to write in a candidate.
Well you can still write it in but the info says it won’t be counted.
Of course, I was making a presumption, i.e., that he would run as a Republican. He could run as an independent or as a member of another party.
Well, after Delaware, and Indiana, and Alaska, I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised.
The GOPe will unify with the RATs whenever necessary, and to whatever extent necessary, to defeat the dreaded “Tea Party”.
And why?
Because the Tea Tendency is the only way out of the mess we are in, but - and this is very, very important for those of you who want to stay in the game - the GOPe-RAT coalition is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT that we are radicals who will END their world. Are you surprised they will fight back?
Some of us are still surprised by what they ARE. But it’s silly to complain that, faced with destruction, they want to fight back.
What else would they do?
Of course, the truth hurts. This is the truth: There is no value for a Tea Drinker in winning a Republican nomination, since the losers will immediately turn on the winner and ally with the Democrat.
The Tea People have to start over, with an actual organization that will be out and proud about our plan to destroy the corrupt, evil power structure that has seized control of our Congress and our country. Yes - we mean their destruction. This new organization MUST appeal to current Democrat voters, at least to white ones with jobs and children.
The unique thing about the GOPe is that, by trying to make an impossible marriage with them, we are alienating millions of potential supporters who see the GOPe (the guys who fired their dads) more clearly than we do.
New party. Now. Time’s a wasting’.

That would be the only move if no write in or 3rd party is permitted.
Everyone just vote for the Rat candidate. This guy is pretty old and will likely retire, or die from an animal sodomy accident before too long
Talk about a thumb in the eye of the GOP
No write in or 3rd party are permitted.
The choices are either sit out that race or vote for the dim.
Is there another party in MS? Like Conservative Party, Constitutional party, etc., that McDaniel can run on?
This is the hope of the gope scum. Piss on being gracious to these crooks, we are fighting for the survival of the country and the gope are every bit as dangerous as their fellow travelers in the communist party.
