Sanitorium is a "Go along to get along" republican. He would give the
RATs everything they want and more. McCain lite.

If we could coalesce behind one candidate early and REFUSE to lend any support whatsoever to the designated RINO, that cohesion behind one candidate would snowball. Cruz has provided the spark. It’s up to conservatives to fan the flame.

The way I look at 2016, assuming we’ll be allowed to vote, is that the minute the GOP nominates their designated RINO, the election is lost. Conservatives will either stay home or write in “D. B. Cooper.” We’ve simply had enough with all the GOPe lies and backstabbing.

These “get along go along” types make me ill. Santorum is a mediocre candidate for any office.

I voted and donated to Rick in the 2008 campaign.
Rick, You speak in paragraphs and nobody hears your message.
Ted is clear, focused, and on message.
Rick, Get off of Ted’s back. Maybe he’ll invite you to join his Cabinet.

Santorum was driven out of politics when he was kicked out of his Senate seat by a bigger margin than Christine O’Donnell lost her effort to win one by, close to an 18 point loss.
The career politician has been looking for a niche to fill ever since, he supported Arlen Specter not only in 2004 but also for the 2010 election, and he was a Romney man in 2008.
Santorum is looking for a place to land, and a desperate rino is dangerous indeed, not as a winner, but as a spoiler, or stalking horse, which I still think was his original role in early 2012.

...while Cruzs aim was worthy, his follow through wasnt effectiveI felt somewhat the same way. Cruz started out strong with the one day delay and his speeches, and then he sort of petered out with the rest of the GOP and watched the GOP Leftists give in. There seemed to be no real fight after the filibuster.

I believe Cruz will come out of this Obamacare nightmare looking like the smartest guy in DC. He will be remembered as the only politician who tried to save us from this disaster.

Ted Cruz is standing tall right now. I’m proud of him. I did everything I knew how to do to support him, including writing repeatedly to my own feckless Congresscritter. I’m all in with Ted. Captain, my captain.

Santorum was less than a mosquito on Romney's butt. What will he be to Cruz? A bacterium?
Really, serious people must consign this quixotic idiosyncrete to the elephant's graveyard.

I worry that Huntsman or something like him is the natural follow-on to John McCain and Willard Romney.Your worry is justified by history. IDK who it will be but the GOP wing of the ruling clique will certainly not go down without a fight. They will attack Cruz, or whoever runs in his place, tooth and nail-- and gladly see a 'Rat victory before allowing a conservative American victory.
We live in extraordinary times.
