As am I, but I think the author (the website doesn't even identify him/her/it) has been smoking a little too much of the wacky weed. Some Washington State Libertarians may be trying this, but as far as I know, the national party has not mentioned any of this.
If the shoe fits.
Was there an implied threat - you are too new for me to know your stance. It is no secret that Jim Rob detests Romney to the point that he is OK if taking Romney down means another 4 for Obama - he has made it clear. To quote an old John Prine song, "A question isn't really a question if you know the answer too".
You don't need to stir this particular pot - it has been roiling for some time and has set up factions in FR that I never thought I would see.
I would ask all here to pay special attention to Mark Steyn's latest article to be posted (read it all - the last paragraph is a doozy) - he makes it clear what he thinks and until I see evidence that anyone here has a higher intellect and a better grasp of historical events and how they apply here, I'll listen to Steyn.
Thanks for the update. I think Ron Paul is a little wacky himself, except when it comes to understanding certain economic issues (I’d love to see him as Secretary of the Treasury). I don’t know too much about the Libertarian Party - I only know that Ron Paul is a member. Milton Friedman declared himself a libertarian but not a member of the Libertarian Party.
Delusional.
The Libertarian movment is being taken over by Liberals and gays. Cato’s Unbound is run by a gay guy who brags that he and his “partner” are wholly non-monogamous, and philospohically oppose monogamy, even as they are rasing a young daughter together. Says that is what he is working towards in America. Even with strong Libertarian instincts, I couldn’t help but recoil.
It’s pretty much soured me on Cato and the Libertarian movement, which I thought was supposed to be an ally. If they put this buffoon in charge, who’s running the show over there? Of course, if I’d been paying attention, their whole series on Bleeding Heart Libertarianism should have been a clue.
