Good idea. But, but she is so persona non grata with Romney that I don’t think she even has an invitation to the republican convention.
The idea that a Presidential election is about getting out the base rather than swinging independents is completely delusional, but it’s a fiction created by people desperately fabricating arguments for their personal favorites.
The overwhelming majority of people that like Palin are already voting for Romney regardless of who the VP is (as always, don’t kid yourself that FR or some subset of posters on FR, or some conservative bloggers, actually represent much of anything but themselves). The number of Palin supporters that will petulantly stay home and not vote if she isn’t the VP is so trivial it doesn’t register on Romney’s strategy, and most of those people are in states that any presidential candidate, including Satan, if he had an “R” next to his name, are going to easily win.
And I can’t emphasize enough how much Palin is personally detested, found to be annoying, etc. by enormous numbers of independent/swing voters that voted for GWB, for example. You can blame in on media attacks, etc. but it’s not something that will be turned around.
Of course this is all moot because there’s more chance I am the VP choice than Palin is.
This article is delusional.
I would not vote for Sarah Palin ... unless she were at the top of the ticket.
Agreed. There’s not a chance in the world that Romney is going to pick Palin.
Well written. And while I wholeheartedly agree . . . the feckless liar, Romney, won’t even invite her to the Convention. We have been horribly betrayed by the GOP.
Need a new party up and running for 2014.
Great post! Thank you for putting it together!
I like Sarah but this isn’t her place. Fortunately Romney knows better than to pick her.
Choosing someone from the last losing duo would not be smart. That’s the way presidential politics is. Palin has a role to play in educating the public, but VP is not it.
Allen West would be a good choice.

Couldn’t be better argued. And, yes, I hate the idea of Sarah taking second place to ANYone (Mitt, in particular), but she’s the ONLY logical choice for Veep this time around. IF the Convention’s to run smoothly. Ideally, it won’t, and she’ll win in a floor-fight which, btw, she can do without “invitation” from the Romney camp (he doesn’t own the party yet).
It would hardly be unprecedented. Richard Nixon ran on five GOP tickets—twice with Eisenhower, once against Kennedy, twice more. Reagan lost nominations in ‘68 and ‘76 and finally ran successfully in ‘80 & ‘84. Bush I lost the nomination in ‘80, and ran twice successfully under Reagan and then successfully once without him, and then unsuccessfully. McCain lost the nomination in 2000 but ran in 2008. The GOP does it all the time.
Sarah, unlike most of her male counterparts, never lost a nomination,
That article was way too darn long, I forgot what to post.
seriously dude, its too long.
Sarah won’t lose, regardless of the infiltrators switching signs and wearing MP uniforms.

A couple points in response:
Palin has her backers and Mitt has his... as does Obama. The indie voters are the ones everyone is trying to reach, but they`re very sour on Palin. Yes, it`s wrong that she was unfairly raked over by the “media” last time around, but the facts are what they are.. she`s not going to win over the fence sitters needed to win the election, no matter how many of us here on FR like her. Her judgment, IMO, took a hit when she stated on Greta von Susteren`s show that she thought the idea of Condi Rice as Romney`s running mate was “wonderful.”
The comment about American voters being “fed up” is debatable at best. this electorate isn`t comprised of the smartest, or most politically astute mass of people the earth has ever seen. They have to be made to understand how and why they SHOULD be fed up. Are they “fed up” with Obama`s abysmal job performance or is their anger directed at Republicans whom they regard as obstructionist?
Mr. RomneyCARE HATES women (can’t let them on the
podium with the Bishop like in Massachusetts).
Mr. RomneyCARE HATES conservatives.
As regards, the GOPe,
Obama and the DNC’s choice will be considered
for VP first with Mr. RomneyCARE, author of DEATH PANELS.

The flaw here is in the title, which contains the word “logical.” Logic is a useless commodity in today’s world. After watching six hours of Science channel last night, I am convinced that logic is actually what is being sucked into black holes in deep space...never to be heard from after passing the event horizon.
