Me too. I am damn near giddy at just the thought at this point.
First let me offer a disclaimer, I do not think Palin will be getting into this race. That said, let me state how it is possible how she (or another candidate) could still win with a late entry.
Unlike previous years, the GOP primaries are not "winner-take-all" so it will be much more difficult for one candidate to build a commanding lead with wins in the early primaries because even if they win, they only get delegates proportionate to their vote percentage. Secondly, there is really not a lot of primary action in February so once we get through Iowa, NH, SC and Florida, there's not any heavy action until March 6 (Super Tuesday).
There is the issue of getting one's name on the primary ballots but a well-organized late-entry candidate can put together an effective sticker campaign to get around that (simply place a sticker with the candidate's name over the write-in section on the ballot).
Not saying it will be easy but it can certainly be done. Especially considering that nobody in the current field appears to be running away with the nomination.
She is the only one that I actually trust.
