He requested to start recieving his pension in January. Read the article.
paragragh six: ‘He retired back in January, months before he decided to run for president. Had he known he was going to jump in and take withering fire from Romney on his entitlements rhetoric, I assume hed have waited to start collecting.’
What have you done to protect the border?

South Carolina would give the Lone Star the biggest whuppin’ since Santa Anna kilt John Wayne.
Gotta feel sorry for you though—getting Glenn Beck and all.
Which I haven't seen proof of.
And, as others have pointed out. The retirement system in Texas is different than in other states. Heck, we still have Land Grant Colleges.

Plain and simple, it looks like shit from a guy bashing on Social Security when it pays a whopping $1,177 average monthly benefit and a massive $2,366 max benefit. He, however will collect damn near 700% more a month than the average Social Security Recipient in retirement alone while still collecting a fat six figure paycheck All on the Government (peoples) dime.
Sorry to break it to you, IT LOOKS BAAAAAD! Real Bad!
I got nothing scheduled for the rest of my un-natural life. And I figure we're going to get one soon enough, one way or the other.
But it would be best if conservatives didn't do a bunch of eye-gouging, nipple twisting, ear biting, hair pullin' and other mayhem on each other while the major cities of the nations burn because of the liberals.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are manipulating this, so what, facts are facts. He is receiving TWO paychecks a month while doing one job. Both checks are from the government of Texas.
The media tried to make a big deal out of that, too. That's why I recognized this.

Hey now..I resemble that remark, lol. And if I had any feelings, they might be hurt.
I don’t know what you have against Texas...unless it contains the phrase “wanna be”.
And he's getting another check for his prior service.
And I still haven't seen proof that this wasn't anything but automated processing and lame-stream media.
And, of course, a bunch of eat-our-own so-called conservatives.
I'm no fan of Gov. Goodhair. But he's good enough.

I am running for County Supervisor and I have been saying that we must talk about this double dipping pension bond sense.. Nobody wants to talk about it.. But we are going to. It’s a State decided thing but I am going to keep letting the citizens know what goes on until everyone is mad enough to force the State to change it.
That’s one Big Azzed Pea!!!

Seems to me that is the point that Perry is making about SS. It can do much better, that’s why he says that younger workers should have the option to manage it themselves.
Am I running for the Republican nomination?
Thanks for that explanation.
There is nothing wrong with withdrawing from a 401K type of pension and continuing to work. Many do it.
