Apology accepted. I just thought many of the comments on this thread were a “bit testy” and some folks should take a “chill pill”.

One particular Perrybot posterchild got everyone going with her usual lies and outright hate. That tends to have some of us on a hair trigger.

I think Romney has an impressive business background. I'm NOT for Mitts so don't even imply it!

Are you impressed with Gov. Perry’s engineering of open borders to bring in illegal aliens by having taxpayers subsidize the criminal illegals?

Are you so mentally weak that you can't support your candidate without attacking others? Guess so.

I'm impressed by business people who start and build things. Cain doesn't impress me.

So you're also not impressed by Jack Welch, Edward Harriman, Alfred Sloan, Thomas Watson Jr., Norman Augustine...

Don't know much about business, do you?

Remember - Jimmy Carter was a nuclear engineer.

No, he wasn't. Carter does not hold a degree in engineering.

That was already pointed out. You’ll note in a previous post that I stated “I stand corrected.”

Your opinion is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I like to hear the engineers on FR. Most engineers and math types I have known are highly intelligent in their field. They know next to nothing about anything else and many have very little common sense. There is no way I have the ability to digest engineering but on the other hand I don't see many engineers debating the finer points of Thomas Aquinas either. Our brains are set up differently. BTW an engineer cannot wait to tell you how smart they are.LOL.

I hadn’t gotten that far. Don’t take it personal. As a Georgia Tech grad, the ‘Carter was an engineer’ bit rubs me the wrong way.

Yawn. I like calling him Herb Cain...it’s a nod to the slurring of his name by the beloved Sarah P...I could return to calling him Herm Huckabee I guess...it may be more appropriate.

Great American? Okay, I guess using the Hannity criteria he sure qualifies...oh, and I talk tons of smack about the lesser skilled candidates like Cain. He’s no Gary Johnson, that’s for sure...Johnson is better qualified IMHO...

The Perry campaign really needs to rein in the “White Hood Club”. They aren’t doing their boy any favors...

>> So if we are to believe that Cain is a ligit “rocket scientist,” why should we admire a man who went from being a “rocket scientist”to manageing fast food chains?

You’re quoting to suggest he wasn’t a rocket scientist in the sense of theoretical physicist that devises the strategy for a successful mission to Mars? Well, yeah, Cain never intimated such a thing. He’s stated his role in applying his mathematical skills to the process of directing the path of munitions.

I don’t recall Cain being arrogant regarding his intellectual skills.

Sex wasn’t mentioned in that article although she did point out all his gaffes and failures prior to explaining/excusing them.

Does lying about Perry somehow make Cain smarter?

Actually, I posed no straw man. Nor did I say anything about whether crony capitalism exists. Anyone reading Peter Schweizer’s new book would understand the need for a complete overhaul in the business as usual political class. It’s why I want an outsider. My comment was directed at all the nonsense you spewed about Cain being a part of the corruption without a lick of proof. Bring some. As for zombies, they’re generally the brainless masses spewing talking points because everyone else is doing it and they haven’t bothered using what grey matter they do have to research and provide proof of their assumption.
