Carville(Democrat): "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."
What's amazing is that despite beating McCain 62-36 in 2008, there's not a single Republican (other than Romney) that can better that McCain performance, even after two years of misery. Obama is becoming more unpopular in MA, but he builds his leads on Republicans in the state.
Brown, OTOH, is still viewed favorably by a majority of the state. Brown's no conservative prize, but he's the best anyone can hope for coming out of MA. That's clear.
Anyone who is unable to deliver his state to the GOP column should not be considered for nomination.
Romney “comes the closest” to the kenyan because he is the closest to the kenyan.
It’s really quite simple........Sarah CAN beat Obama ( perhaps not in Mass., but through the EC ! ), but Mitten, who will NOT win the ‘12 GOP presidential primary, wouldn’t beat him nationally !
Did you expect anything less from Massachusetts?? Kennedy, Frank, Kerry, come on. Yeah yeah, Scott Brown? He’ll turn elitist soon, give him a couple years. Just write Mass. off, it won’t change color.
"This is Gollum."
Do you see a similarity to Carvil?
Two years is a lifetime in politics and at the rate Barry is screwing things up even MA may want to chuck him out by the time 2012 rolls around.
Yea, I live here.
As the water crept over their ankles some still truly believed the Titanic would not, cannot sink.
Somebebody told them that.
I live in hell.
Mitt Romney said that he was seeking reelection, but his own polling forced him to give it up, Romney left office with a 34% approval rating.
The problem with Brown, even for those that did not have high expectations, is that he has turned out to be even softer than we were prepared to endure, he seems to be more liberal than people thought.
That’s right. Some states are not worth wasting time and money in or on.
I would like to see someone do some subtle Gollum/Mitt photoshop.
Maybe. I was thinking he'd be about a 50 on ACU's scale, close to Snowe & Collins. I don't think he'll get rated until next year, but I still think that's where he's going to end up.
What's John Kerry? A five, as would anyone who replaced Brown.
I’m not a Mitt fan either. And I know very few Republicans who have any use for him. But on the other hand I live in Texas, nothing connected to Massachusetts sells well here.
I do think that Romney and the Gollum figure would make for some very good photoshop images, I hope someone does some.
Obama controls Tv and the media plus the idiots who watch TV. And no Fox-Saudia is no better. ALL TV is ***t.
My point was that Brown is farther left than he needs to be, he really is a hard liberal it seems.
I thought that he would give the ground that he needed to, to survive and to make a good liberal media splash when needed, but I didn’t think that he would eagerly rush to vote left when he didn’t have to.
I think that we all thought that he would be looking for opportunities to be helping Republicans without blowing his cover, or losing his seat, but we have learned that he really is a lefty, more naturally left than his supporters realized.
