Bump for a wonderful woman.
G’night onyx.
Good night, Gene Eric!
I’m signing out on this happy note, too.
to be honest, Palin’s critics of her experience is bordering on stupidity. Her experience surpass Obama by miles yet somehow its not good enough. The double standard is very sick. Whats worst is republicans buying into it
So now we hate Mona Charen, Karl Rove, and Barbara Bush because they believe a candidate for president should have credentials.
we hate them because they don’t realize the obvious: Sarah has more experience and depth than the asshole who leads us now.
Being better than Obama isn't a credential. We have many better qualified conservative candidates,
As conservatives, we have to make a choice in primaries before we make the choice between Sarah and "the a**hole we have now". Shouldn't we debate who the best conservative candidate is?
They are stupid because they show what’s inside w/o realizing it. W/O knowing the person, you get to know them on a level they don’t know themselves - they have emotional problems.
Jealousy shows itself in men and woman. Of course, b**chy ugly woman are usually the worst and the macho man or wusses. All have hangups. From smurky remarks to ranting on. It’s fun to watch (and read, here).
So Mona Charen says we should not like Sarah Palin and Jedediah Bila says we should. So what?
BTW who the hell is Jedediah Bila anyway? She seems to be the latest in the Fox News/Regnery Publishing’s harem of hot looking twentysomething babes. You know another short skirt and even shorter IQ.
Their only value is to attract the attention of the middle age and elderly guys in the audience.
“So now we hate Mona Charen, Karl Rove, and Barbara Bush because they believe a candidate for president should have credentials.”
No we don’t hate them, that is counter-productive and a waste of energy.
We just recognize that Mona Charen, Karl Rove, and Barbara Bush either have hidden agendas or are not as bright as we where led to believe.
Personally, I think karl and Barbara want Jeb to run, and I have no idea what’s going on with Mona.
Mona's paid by the Ruling Class's Dying Press, and she has become a groupie for them. "Sensible" Republicans? Who are they? Obama-voting Colon Powell, or Country Clubber Karl Rove?
I've met her; she was more to the right than most Jews are used to, so I used to be impressed. But she's snobbish. She spoke at a local JCC for a small crowd once, telling us that she was only there as a favor to her local aunt. The aunt was beaming with pride, but Mona definitely seemed like she'd rather be picking up her dog's droppings than have to speak at such a lowbrow event.
We need two things in our next candidate for President: 1) S/he must believe wholeheartedly in the Constitution, and in fiscal and legal conservative principles, and to know that a government following them will be better for every man, woman, and child in America. Fairer, freer, and better. 2) S/he must be able to CLEARLY EXPLAIN THIS TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. Over and over if necessary.
Is there ANYONE else (besides Palin) out there right now with enough cojones to do those two simple things???
/crickets
We don’t hate them, we disrespect them for being willfully blind or disingenuous for political reasons.
Shouldn’t we debate who the best conservative candidate is?
That seems to be going on all around us already. Does it not? What is this thread all about?
Nah. We just accept Palin's credentials. To many of the beltway GOP establishment, credentials that do not include long-term membership in the ruling class and graduation from an elite college are deemed unworthy.
Babs Bush is just worried Palin will queer little Jeb's chances at the presidency; Rove has in all likelihood already signed on with Mitts or one of the other GOP wannabes, and Mona Charen, despite her conservative views, is about as beltway as you can get, and couldn't possibly support a candidate for prez who isn't a lawyer and didn't graduate from an elite school.
A post I read somewhere several weeks ago really hit the nail on the head. Palin, and indeed the whole Tea Party movement, is giving the "elites" on both sides of the aisle severe status anxiety. The country folk are at the gates with their pitchforks, and things aren't looking so hot for the continuation of the status quo.
To those who claimed he quit acting when he entered politics, I suggest they check out Dean Martin’s Celebrity Roasts. He was on several shows after he lost the nomination to Gerald Ford.
Really killed his chances of being President, didn’t it? Oh yeah, it didn’t...
