A second term for Obama means he will own the Supreme Court for generations to come. That is unacceptable.
Huckabee, Gingrich, and others are non-starters. Palin is somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Governor Palin isn’t a “re-tread” from 2008: She didn’t run for the presidency, she was selected to be the vice presidential nominee. That isn’t the same thing. And you understood my post, so don’t act the fool.

Rats would never sabotage him. I honestly think they’d rather go down in defeat this election than risk alienating one of their biggest voting blocs. Besides, if Palin runs, I think it will be a safe bet that he can win again. Look at Harry Reid - dead to rights in purple Nevada and Angle gave him a second term.

The GOP belongs to Sarah Palin and the Tea Party now. The RINOs are free to form their own "moderate" third party any time they chose.Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!
Post of the day.

Agreed. I love Sarah, but my head has to control over my heart. I want Obama gone for more than I want her for POTUS.
Thus, if it is clear she can win - fine - go sarah - but if she is trailing and cant win, no way.
I still think a Thune/Christie ticket is deadly to Obama in 2012.
To: MissesBush
Hate to tell you this but Bobby Jindal said he wasn't going to run in 2012. I assume he's a man of his word.

Ever worked on a political campaign? I have, and enthusiasm is EVERYTHING! The SEIU/ACORN/AFSCME/AFGE/Teamsters/LaRaza/Babykillers were enthused for Senator Reid. Multiply that by 100 when it comes to Governor Palin! I will personally raise $2 million dollars for her.

Beware of all the, ‘I like Sarah, but...’ and the, ‘she’s better off doing what she’s doing.’. Translate that to...’I don’t want her to run because she’ll beat my candidate.’. Bank on it.

"I still think a Thune/Christie ticket is deadly to Obama in 2012." That sounds a lot like McCain/Romney to me. A "moderate" senator and a "moderate" Northeastern governor. Let's just rename the party "the Ripon Society", "Democrat Lite" or "Log Cabin moderates" or some such...

So, other than Palin, who i would support, tell me who you support if she does not run?
And spare me the Pence/Ryan nonsense.
Thune would be a great pick.

You get to start grilling me when you’ve been here more than two years.

The Chet99 and pissant incidents have taught some of them to be a little more subtle, but we can still see through it.

I’m not grilling you, I want to get Obama out more than anything. I will support and vote for Sarah is she runs 10000%.
HOWEVER -
If she decided not to run - who do you support?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
On this and other Palin threads since the election, I've noticed a "damning with faint praise" trend among some Freepers. They say "I love her" or "I agree with everything she stands for" or "I would vote for her", but "wouldn't she be better in some other role" or "she's still young", or "she is the only candidate who could lose". It's like a pack of wolves trying various howls on each other to see if one clicks in tracking a bear, all while pretending they have innocent intent. They need plausible deniability in case the bear turns them into dinner.
Apologies to Kipling.
