Yes, I’ll miss saying “Rove you Magnificent Bastard!”
Michael Gerson pimping RomneyCARE
" Instead, the president chose the current complex, regulatory approach to reform,
precisely because it seemed less radical and disruptive than the other options.
It was patterned in part on health reforms in Massachusetts signed by then-Gov. Mitt Romney,
a Republican, thereby applying at least a veneer of bipartisanship.
You watch, Rove and The Bushes will end up supporting RINO InsideTheBeltway Romney and not supporting the TEA Party nor Sarah Palin.
Mr. Gerson is a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Karl Rove protege.
...and Bohemian Club attendee.
I think she has been remarkably consistent. She jumps in and endorses (1) Conservatives; (2) Who are behind but not hopeless; (3) At a strategic time so that her endorsement can kick them past the finish line.
Her assessments of where to jump in have been quite acute. She already has considerable record of success and, if we do well today, should be entitled to a significant share of the credit for making congress more conservative this year.
For myself coming from one of the “darker corners of the right” I guess I have a “preference for a shallow ideological purity above achievement, qualification or electoral success.”
Is it really shallow of me to believe that:
- we should rule our own lives?
- the government should not be achieving what it is not authorized to do?
- the people are more qualified to determine their own lives direction?
- electoral honesty and integrity is more important that success?
If Sarah looked like Evita, they’d ignore her. However....
Notice that Gerson also did NOT name his sources. I wonder why?
Exactly. That’s their plan all along. Remember Newt, Mitt and Jeb Bush all saying their “Reagan Era is Over’ mantra. That was right before Newt wholehearted endorsement of Dede (liberal RINO) who ended up throwing her support to the ‘rat in the race and he won.
They are not hiding anything - they are against conservatism. What we took as a weak backbone wasn’t - their non actions were deliberate.
You can say what your will Mr Gerson, the woman is not erratic.
Many of the Gerson types need to quit being so erratic. Adopt a narrative and stick with it please.
How pathetic can it get??? The libs and RINO’s sure seem to broadcast who it is that gives them nightmares, don’t they? In my opinion, Sarah Palin is looking more and more “Presidential” every day!
You seem to have found one of the most unflattering pictures out there! :-) Congratulations!
Palin’s endorsement of Christine O’Donnell in the Delaware Republican Senate primary revealed a preference for a shallow ideological purity above achievement, qualification or electoral success ................................................”revealed a preference for a shallow ideological purity above achievement”, Well acheivement sure as hell meant nothing to the Democrats when they ran Obuma. Palin is not erratic, she is a down to earth person with a real old style uncompromising American vision. I like her just the way she is, she may not be the darling of the press but WGAS.
It ain't just the Democrats who are losing control.
As my Grandma used to say (rest her soul)—UFF-DA!
Not this again!
I had hoped we had gotten rid of all the anti-COD and anti-Sarah trolls.
Her assessments of where to jump in have been quite acute. She already has considerable record of success and, if we do well today, should be entitled to a significant share of the credit for making congress more conservative this year.”
I was going to say what you said, but you already said it....
Erratic? When she stepped down as Governor she said EXACTLY what she was going to do. You may agree or disagree with some of her tactical moves, but her strategy has been anything BUT erratic. She said what she was going to do. She did it. Nothing erratic about that. Unusual in an elected official, but hardly erratic!
Interesting point. COD is very far out on the fringe, so far that she knows and actually believes in silly words like, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." I don't think a true Dem would ever vote for someone like that!
As for electoral success, defeating the GOP party favorite doesn't count because ... um ... Sarah endorsed her so it just doesn't count.
Does anyone know the name of the Republican version of Journolist?
