I decided yesterday that I really want her to run. It is almost deja vu, Bambi worse than even Carter (and I remember the demoralization of those times), followed by Reagan and then Sarah who are similar in that they both are made fun of,insulted, misunderestimated and sunny and cheery in spite of it. It seems Reagan was a real philosopher with the writings to back it up. I cut Sarah some slack on that, given that she has 5 kids and is still pretty young, but she seems to have stellar instincts and common sense, not to mention the awesome job she did in Alaska.
right on
“Got tired of your lies. Here’s a couple of threads regarding Sarah from 2009 and there were plenty more going further back, but these will suffice to show what a liar you are.”
“Liar” is a pretty strong word to apply to anyone, especially Onyx. No one is intensely interested in your posting history, although you proudly burnish it (such as it is). The point of Onyx’s rejoinder to you was that you stated that Palin was a “radical” with “radical positions” and you provided no evidence of it. In point of fact, a very recent Rasmussen poll showed that American voters agreed with Palin’s positions over Obama’s by 52%-40%. So much for your theory that Palin is a radical. It is unsubstantialted, indeed controverted, hogwash. Onyx is too polite and genteel to say it. I am not.
You really should read a little more and familiarize yourself with Palin’s positions before you term them “radical”. It would also help if you consulted respected pollsters to see whether the majority of Americans agree with you. It minimizes the likelihood that you make a fool out of yourself. Oh, and calling Onyx a liar doesn’t make her one. It brands you as someone who not only makes rash judgments but (as she noted) someone doesn’t visit this site often. If you did, you would know that Onyx is one of the most gracious and kindest of Freepers.
So far, you have shown yourself in a few posts to have been ignorant about Palin, ignorant about her positions, ignorant about the popularity of those positions and ignorant (and flat out wrong)about a fellow poster here. Hardly an auspicious beginning (or should I say return) after a lengthy hiatus.
Well, I think she should run. At least her running will weed down our field and get rid of the phony Huckster and Romney and the like. Anyone better than Palin will rise to the top, or not.
We fear she is unelectable, but we may be wrong. We could do a LOT worse than Sarah Palin in the White House, and for 2012 we may not find anyone better who is as ready.
Hell yeah!
Run Sarah Run! America needs you!
I’m ready to roll with that! :)
‘No...A draft Jim DeMint movement is needed.’
NO CONGRESSCRITTERS!
While i would vote for her in the primary and do believe she would do a great job,not merely better than the idiot in the office today,i agree that shes probably not electable as of today. I’m not sure there’s any one thing she can do to get to that point either.
Certainly there aren't any of those among current crop of "likely suspects."
I think Bolton is worth consideration, provided he is willing to run. However, I think our Mama Grizzly would do just fine too.
I’m not sure where you come up with lengthy hiatus. But instead of posting a link that picks up in the middle of someone’s posting history, it might help to start with the present and work back.

I post regularly, though I may not post every single day.
I have also made it clear that I think it is the left and certain independents that will find Palin radical.
I agree. I'm waiting to see what the GOP does. Will they support her or will they launch their own candidate to run against her.
“I have also made it clear that I think it is the left and certain independents that will find Palin radical.”
And how does that prevent her from becoming President if a minimum of 52% of Americans prefer her positions to Obama’s.
If she split the undecided votes with him, it would be 56-44, a fairly hefty 42-44 state landslide.
As Rush says (and he is right) in elections, issues matter. And the issues favor Palin as they favored Reagan in 1978-80.
The “radical” label will always be applied by the libs to anyone who is a threat to topple them. They much prefer to run against the Bushes, the Doles, the McCains and the Fords for obvious reasons. The Democrats’ track record against “the Mod Squad” over the last Six cycles in which a moderate has headed the GOP ticket (1976, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008-—Before you tell me I excluded 1988, I did so deliberately because Bush ran as a Reaganite and was serving Regan’s third term effectively) is 4-2. If we use the popular vote, rather than the electoral vote, then the Democrat record is 6-1 (because the Bush win in 200 was a popular vote defeat).
In 36 years, in Presidential politics, the GOP moderates have managed a single popular vote majority (and a slim one at that), yet they tell conservatives that it is they who are electable and not the “radicals” (to use the pejorative of the left).
Complete bunk. And nearly everyone on Freerepublic realizes it.
I don’t disagree with anything you wrote. I even agree with your IF scenario, but, we have two years yet and a lot can happen.
Huckster is a a BIG govt RINO - no thanks!!!!!
“we have two years yet and a lot can happen.”
That is true. She has to run. And if by some miracle the economy turned around, and the people decided not to fire Obama, then it would be a different ball game. A lot can happen in two years. The longer we go on with 10% unemployment, though, the less likely it is that unemployment will be where it was when Obama took office, which probably means he is kaput electorally.
Regardless of the unemployment rate, though, Obama has lost North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio and probably Florida (based on his abysmal numbers in these states)in 2012 (which means that if he scrapes out a win, it will be by a thread). On the other hand, if circumstances continue as they are or get worse, he gets Carterized a la 1980.
We can only hope. Frankly, I'd love to see her run and win. Can you imagine the implosions around the country?!
“Can you imagine the implosions around the country?!”
That election night would take me back to November 4, 1980. I never saw Walter Cronkite or John Chancellor so depressed and stunned. It was GREAT.
The only news channel I watch is FOX and I don’t even watch them that much anymore. They got rid of too many people that I could stomach and kept people I don’t care for. But, if Palin pulled it off it would be worth turning on the other channels just to watch their faces.
There is something else that I’m mildly concerned about. It looks like we will gain back a lot of seats. If we do, will voters be cautious of giving one party too much power, based on what we’ve seen happen these past two years?
If it helps, I don’t get it either. I’ve yet to see it explained in a way that makes any rational sense.
