Look, I understand loyalty and all but dang! Don’t go out there, claiming that you will support conservatives, whether they are Republicans or Democrats, then lead the charge to reelect one of the biggest backstabbers to conservatives that there is! It makes you look insincere to the conservative cause.
Well, I guess we can expect that Palin supporters will no longer take credit when one of her other endorsees wins, right?

Chris Cillizza acknowledges the obvious. On Morning Joe this AM, supposed experts Chuck Todd, Ron Brownstein and Charlie Cook talked about the results from yesterday, including Alaska, and did not even mention Palin’s name.
The MSM is dead from the neck up. She is sweeping the field, and they are deliberately clueless.
Next stop for Sarah Palin should be the Delaware Senate Primary (set for September 14) to boost conservative Christine O’Donnell and to take out uber RINO Mike Castle.

Maybe not. McCain just might want some kind of positive legacy, and he has been made acutely aware that his previous few years are coming down on the wrong side of history.
If he goes back to the far left now, his TOTAL legacy will be 100% that of a treasonous, backstabbing, anti-American, communist scumbag. We'll have to see if he's praying for any redemption on his political deathbed (which starts today).

Tom, you made a very salient point here. The control of the GOP by McCain. Sarah Palin is a Republican. IF she has aspirations for running in 2012 (I believe she does), then she is wise to be pragmatic in achieving that goal. She knows the power that Mac holds in Wash. She was caught between keeping him obligated to her or making him a very powerful enemy.
Now, if I saw my country going down the tubes and felt that I could rescue it, I would do whatever I legally needed to do to win. That is common sense. She did not lose honor in campaigning for Mac. She would have lost honor if she had dissed him. She has been clear from her first appearance in the spotlight that she considers Mac and family friends.
Faced with the same situation, I would have done exactly what she did. It assures her (hopefully) of Mac's influence in the GOP to help her. Politics is a lot like killing a moose. There can be a lot of blood, but the eating is good. I am sure that she knew already that Mac could not be defeated in AZ. I think she was a winner in this, regardless of what we think of Mac the Manic.
It was mostly a good night.
I was looking forward to Meeks being Rubio’s opponent, and Murkowski losing.
The only real dark cloud was McPalin’s mentor winning in AZ.
Interesting watching these Irrelevant kooks get all twisted up.
Like I’ve said before, it will come down to Palin, a conservative or Mittens and Establishment RINO.
If conservatives don’t get behind Palin, Mitt is It. Then we’ll really hear the gnashing of teeth...except that they can look to the mirror to see why we get Mittens.
Politics over principle. Always looks good in the short run, and always leads to destruction over time.
One other thing: If she thinks she can gain control over the formerly grand Old party that way, she’s delusional. It’s controlled lock, stock and barrel by McCain/Romney unprincipled hacks. They’re bought, and will stay bought. Romney and his friends have unlimited amounts of money at their disposal to make sure of it.
