You’re probabaly right, it was one of few mistakes he made, but at the time he had other bigger fish to fry. Considering what he accomplished, I’d simply use it as a mistake we can look at with hind sight.

From what I have heard, he thought he had a deal on border security, but the Dims renegged.

IMHO, I think Palin, Thune, Ryan, and Christie (if he changes his mind) will quickly emerge as the leaders of the pack. Romney (Masscare), Pawlenty (like watching paint dry), and Huckabee(uhmmmm,no) will be quickly cast aside.

Gingrich is interesting, but his flirting with global warming will sink him.

Again, IMHO.

How about Fred Thompson-too old?

"Thune in 2012"

Thune is a nice sweet man.......that's his problem. He needs to show some FIRE.

"Remember when people actually talked about queer Charlie Crist for veep? I say queer as is odd not as in homosexual queer. Crist is married."

Until Crist mentioned it, I had never heard of anyone getting a bax-whack, or whatever. It sounds like something you get in a San Francisco bath house, but I could be mistaken.

Crist is married.

Yeah, that'll work. Working for him right now is this dratted oil spill. Crist is getting hours of face time and backing up banning all drilling in the Gulf forever, yadda yadda yadda.

Another big help: Eastern Florida is awash with "Double-Registered" voters out of New York and New Jersey. They tip the close races. If the Democrats ran Hitler, and the Republicans Mother Teresa, trust me, these Ani would pull the lever or the chad for Adolf ... and Crist.

What do they care about the "Crist-Cross." He's a Democrat.

Palin - Needs to come clean on Amnesty

If you'd bother to do some research and read her notes, you would know that Governor Palin opposes amnesty.

But no...you want to repeat a tired discredited meme from disgruntled conservatives angry that Palin is more viable and conservative than the candidate or candidates they support.

““We won’t complicate it any more. Let’s keep it simple and let’s say, ‘No, if you are here illegally and you don’t follow the steps that at some point through immigration reform we’re going to be able to provide, and that is to somehow allow you to work. If you’re not going to do that, you will be deported you will be gone.””

Would you parse this please? These are HER WORDS. Every time I read it, I get the same result - which is that if ILLEGALS don’t sign up for something, they get deported. If they do sign up...seems to me that they don’t get deported. WHAT THE HELL IS SHE TALKING ABOUT HERE?

I don’t illegals to sign up for ANYTHING. I want them out of work and going home - maybe you and her have different plans for them?
