Don’t forget how the GOP force fed Arlen Specter to the voters or the many other RINOs.
I find it somewhat gratifying the extent to which Sarah Palin and the CP and others are now constantly talking about Independents.
We made a conscious decision to change what that label means in the American political vernacular, and this piece is one more data point that shows we’re succeeding.
Any third party vote in 2010 or 2012 is a vote for Democrats and their communist destruction of the USA.
Remember that Palin supported Doug Hoffman, the Conservative party candidate, against Dede Scozzafava.
Right. Exactly like in NY-23, where the Republicans became the "third-party."
Yeah, and I’ll remember that she supported John McCain, too. Among others.
After The Specter beat Toomey, many posters on this site and elsewhere told everyone that we all had to support Benedict Arlen because otherwise the Democrats would win, and besides he wouldn’t use hsi seat as chairman of Judiciary to be obstructionist on nominees.
Well, he immediately obstructed a nominee and now he’s a Democrat. So what did Republicans gain from that?
The irony is that there was a conservative third party candidate on the ballot named Jim Cluymer and had conservatives voted for Clymer instead of holding their noses for The Specter, we would be no worse off in terms of that seat than we are today. And we would have had a better Judiciary chair until after the Democrat takeover.
So do I, EV. I think organizations like AIP are the wave of the future.
Remember, the Republicans started out as a third party. I’m sure many Whig operatives told the fledgling Republicans that they would just split the vote and get those awful Democrats elected, so they should stick with the Whigs.
TEA party patriots have suceeded in getting good conservative candidates well positioned in many GOP primaries across the country.
Anyone advocating for any third party now, just to make their stupid statement, when the survival of the nation is at stake, is working for the Democrats and for the complete destruction of the USA.
You’re still stuck in the old party paradigm, the one that has failed the country.
You don’t even understand what AIP is. It’s nothing like any previous “third-party.”
We’ve created something we call a “meta-party.” In other words, an entity that is “beyond party.”
We make our political associations and affiliations based solely on proven adherence to core American principle, not something so trivial as party registration. We endorse candidates on the same basis.
If you’re so hot to preserve the Republican Party, go for it. All you have to do is to nominate constitutionalist, personhood pro-life, peace through strength, moral conservative Reaganites and you won’t have any problem with us. But if you won’t? Your party is on its way out.
Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. There are plenty of Republicans who have been deeply complicit in the destruction of our free republic. In fact, most of the party's leadership has been.
The only "statement" we're making is that we will no longer play a loser's game and pretend that we can save the country by empowering compromised leaders of any party, people who could care less about keeping their sworn oaths to defend the Constitution of the United States.
It will take several election cycles for any other viable political structure to be developed coast to coast. Without such structure, all those third parties are simply working to keep the communist Democrats in power.
Single issue voters and parties will be the death of this nation, and your single issues will be be lost in the destruction.
Weve created something we call a meta-party. In other words, an entity that is beyond party.
... which is totally useless in the primary elections and the general elections. So, just what positive effects can it possibly have? It's simply a front to keep the communist Democrats in power.
I've never had a conversation with anyone who uses the silly phrase "single issue voter" that amounted to a hill of beans.
But, what the heck. Hope springs eternal.
Exactly what "single issue" do you think I'm all about?
If you think your cool new political party is immune to the compromising influences that afflict the other parties, then you’re not just naive, you’re dangerous...
Speaking of "hill of beans" ...
A few years ago, you came around stumping for Bill Sali, whose only accomplish in his two years in congress was that he somehow managed to turn over the very conservative Idaho 1st District to Democrat Walt Minnick, a Pelosi butt-wipe.
Now Bill Sali, this same worthless product of Idaho's version of barking moonbats, is working to elect Raul Labrador, a Puerto Rican open-borders immigration attorney, against the constitutional conservative and combat veteran Vaughn Ward.
Is this effort to elect RINO Raul Labrador some more of your political brilliance?
The "primary" process as currently constituted is a complete farce. It isn't run by the people, it's run by political hacks, the media, and the money bags. And it's all based on an open political association, one over which conservatives have no control. It makes about as much sense to let liberals decide who your candidates are going to be as it would be to let a jihadi decide who is going to shave you with a straight razor.
...and the general elections.
Doesn't matter much when the Democrats and the Republicans are both pushing candidates who have no regard for the Constitution and who are constantly teaming up in the destruction of our country.
So, just what positive effects can it possibly have?
It can raise the true standard. That's gotta be worth something.
It's simply a front to keep the communist Democrats in power.
If anything is a front to do that it is the false flagged, lily-livered, self-serving, arrogant Republican "leadership."
There are more self-identified conservatives in ALL fifty states than there are self-identified liberals. The fact that conservatives are not represented proportionately is proof that the Republican Party is a complete bust. And that it's a fake.
Bill Sali would still be the Congressman if it wasn’t for Republican hacks like you.
So, tell us. What’s this “single-issue” of which you speak?
He lost because he didn't bother to campaign.
He lost because of people who have an R by their name and sound just like you.
What’s this “single-issue” you’re talking about?
