Just playing devil’s advocate here, but it was John McCain who put Sarah Palin on the national political map, and she may feel some sense of loyalty to him for just that reason

LIEberman was McAmnesty's first choice. He chose Palin after catching much flack from party members.

Sarah would be nowhere right now, had she not joined McCain when he asked.

Palin would be nowhere right now if McAmnesty didn't receive a lot of negative feedback for his first choice, Joe LIEberman.

I’m glad she did join him as his vice presidential running mate because it did a lot to pick up a defeated Republican Party and conservative constituents.

The only thing it accomplished was to ensure a socialist to some degree would become President.

She is a big reason for the turn around that we’ve had since the election.

No, the grassroots Tea party movement growing since its formation last February is the reason for the turn around.

Taking one's supporters for granted is not exactly a positive trait, ya know

Kowtowing to followers isn't a very good trait for a leader, either.

Most of the tea partiers are Republican.

Limbaugh clearly drew the distinction.

“The only thing it accomplished was to ensure a socialist to some degree would become President.”

Well, I’m not going to talk you out of your anti Sarah opinion. McCain gave us Obama. No one would have turned that around, but Sarah came close.

Taking nothing away from the Tea Party, it’s silly to deny the positive influence Sarah has had with conservatives. You don’t have to deny the obvious in order demonstrate the significance of your point. They aren’t in competition.

But I will leave you to simmer. Go Hayworth!

Your are correct. The people disrespecting Sarah over this are either entirely self righteous or never supported her in the first place. A a true supporter of hers I was disappointed at first, but after one day of refection I was convinced that she did the right thing according to circumstance. This issue has been out in the air for a long time now so who ever is against Sarah at this point was never for her in the first place.

Good point, we already have one Romney in the Party.
