Warner hires former Gore aide
Former Gore aide hired by Warner It's another sign from governor that White House is on his mind by Michael Hardy
Gov. Mark R. Warner has formally waded into national political waters by establishing a federal political-action committee and hiring a one-time top adviser to former Vice President Al Gore.

Baril says poll by opponent is dishonest
McDonnell campaign says its survey asks legitimate questions
by Tammie Smith
Negative, cheesy campaign tactic or legitimate survey?

Both of these campaigns have disappointed me.

Kilgore campaign says the radio spot is an 'ill-conceived attack'
by Jeffy Schapiro
Lt. Gov. Timothy M. Kaine is enlisting a country sheriff to press claims that his probable Republican foe for governor is weak on crime in rural Virginia because he opposed a tax increase to help law enforcement.

Kilgore drives a historical road on transportation
by Jeffy Schapiro
Friday was the 118th anniversary of the birth of the state's boss of bosses, U.S. Sen. Harry F. Byrd Sr.

A not-snarky article from Schapiro about a Republican. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Perhaps Jeffy sees the handwriting on the wall.

Voting is something I do my level best to not miss doing and I have a pretty good track record - the 2 I missed were both because of moving and not being in the state long enough to register. 1982 when I moved to Delaware from New York, and the 2003 VA primary when we moved here from Delaware

You are far better than I. I was not insinuating that you were a loser, just that I was for missing the mark. I hope you took no offense at my poor attempt at humor.

Oh please - I took know offense at all, I thought it was a cute comment.

I battled with DMV for so long about getting my license switched from DE to VA I totally forgot to find out if I could register to vote without transfering my license.

My situation in 1982 was different - I had only lived in Delaware for 10 days and they had a 30 day residency requirement.

Oh, okay.

I was told I could do the moto-voter thing here, but I wasn't sure I wanted to change registration etc. so I just went to the voter registration office.

I ended up licensed and tagged here with the new car, as of today.
