There is now little doubt that the Girl Scout cookie boycott is having an effect on cookie sales this year.
Girl Scout spokesman Kelly Parisi went on The O’Reilly Factor this week to try and defuse the mounting controversy, and Girl Scout executives have sent threatening letters to their critics.
Girl Scout CEO Anna Marie Chavez took to YouTube on Thursday to deny all charges leveled by the boycotters and to deny at least one charge they haven’t even made.
“Recently, various individuals and organizations announced their intention to boycott GS cookies this year, based on mistaken beliefs about our movement," Chavez said. "These same individuals also believe the Girl Scouts has become too political.”
“We do not now, nor have we ever, had a relationship with Planned Parenthood," she claimed. "Girl Scouts of the USA believes that reproductive issues are deeply private issues best left to families. I find it unsettling that anyone would use the Girl Scout brand to have very adult conversations. A box of Girl Scout cookies is not a political statement.”
“We are committed to serving God and our country," she said. “I hope I have cleared up any misconceptions out there about the nature of the Girl Scout movement and what it means to buy Girl Scout cookies.”
Girl Scout watchdog groups say Chavez has cleared up nothing and responded with a flurry of fact checks provided to Breitbart News.
When Chavez insists the Girl Scouts have never had a relationship with Planned Parenthood, Girl Scout critics point to the 2004 admission made by Chavez’s predecessor, Kathy Cloninger, on The Today Show: “We have relationships with our church communities, with YWCAs, and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country.”

We are having an affect on them.
“The Girl Scouts have already scrubbed their web site of objectionable content in response to the boycott, and now the apology tour continues.”
They are trying to hide their relations with Planned Parenthood.
Actions create reactions,

Tough cookies. It’s one of the few points of leverage we have to boycott them. They thumb their noses at middle America and Conservatives and then beg for our money. STUFF IT!

Movement? I always thought it was an organization. She betrays her politics and ideological affiliations in the way she speaks.
BS and GS are dead to me.
Some Girl Scouts had a table set up outside a local store selling cookies the other day.
They asked me if I wanted to buy some. I politely declined, never mentioning Planned Parenthood or any specific issue.
One of the little brats muttered an obscenity at me under her breath. I am through with the Girl Scouts.

Well Ms. CEO Anna Marie Chavez — Prove it!!! Make the organization match your words. Otherwise you are just another snake oil saleswoman.
Critics also blanche at Chavez’s statement: “To quote the Girl Scout Promise: We are committed to serving God and our country.” God became optional back in the 90s.
I don’t know about you folks, but I like girl scout cookies because they taste like babies.
The new cookies are gross anyways. You’d have to have no tastebuds to enjoy eating those gross cardboard disasters.
So now we can add LYING to the list of reasons to boycott the gay/abort scouts
GS leadership was “banking” on the idea that so called conservatives would spout off, but in the end would not have the will power or courage to say no to those cute little girls they are prostituting for their agenda. They figured that when confronted with pushy moms and sweet little girls that in the end even the most hardened would buy at least a box.
They were wrong. Our strength lies in the courage of our convictions and fearlessness in speaking and acting for truth. Think I am overstating it? Imagine the pressure around the water cooler to buy a box when everyone else has.
Can’t take it, huh? Maybe the unborn and newly born babies being slaughtered with your support aren’t too happy either.
Sorry, CEO-ette, keep hanging around with the baby-killing Planned Predators, and get your reward.
Both the GSA and the BSA are now pathetic remnants of what they once were. I have no use for either.
And then they play the God card.
Oh, I DID say something. I called the adult in the booth over to me and told them exactly how I felt. She denied any Planned Predator affiliation, so I corrected her and suggested she think twice about her little ones participation in anything to do with the filthy, bloody baby-killers. She looked at me dumbfounded, and I walked away.
