Wild. After watching Dogfights on History channel, those capabilities would absolutely kick butt on anything anyone else has built.
think our rain started about October and hasn’t really stopped. This is good since we went a year and a half without any. Sure there are some that want more but personally, I’ve had enough.
Look’n good, glad to be aboard.
It was a long week off -
Or seven motorcycles in a Cage
Sort of like the spoilers they put on front wheel drive production cars?
Thanks for the pinger, GR - one of my favorite races!
Keselowski Wont Back Down at Bristol
http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/news;_ylt=AtVudj1jdh1rZBP.keW.jR_ov7YF?slug=ap-nascar-bristolintroductions
BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP)Brad Keselowski chose Wont Back Down by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers as his song selection for driver introductions Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The song choice is a clear message from Keselowski, who has vowed not to change the aggressive driving style that has gotten him to NASCARs top level but also angered several veterans.
Nice shots of the birds!
Edwards, meanwhile, selected Black Betty by Spiderbait for his song selection.
Someone will take Kesski out but whom will it be this time? Our mechanical birds are from the Coast Guard air station at McKinlyville 10 miles north of Eureka and we are damn glad to have them. They are rectifying pilots this week but I haven’t seen over any of them over the house yet...
May all pilots in your area have the proper AC/CD converters working during rectifying.
I will take drivers with names starting with “A to M” to take out Kez.
8 degrees in Bend (yes, 8) this morning. Spring flowers? Yeah, right. No misquitos, though. I good morning to change drivers. Repeatedly.
Day 4 and last day for window contractors today. The new Tuscany windows are a vast improvement. They best be done this morning cause this afternoon is a visit to the Red Cross to give blood. I won’t give them money but they can have a pint of my A+.
May ALL your water hoses be unfrozen today.
NASCAR adds pit stop to All-Star race
http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/news;_ylt=ArDoOWd9EWZsLXQ4TE3jGGHov7YF?slug=ap-nascar-all-starrace-format
CONCORD, North Carolina (AP)NASCAR has added a mandatory four-tire pit stop to the format of the Sprint All-Star Race.
The race will once again be decided by a 10-lap shootout to the finish. But, for the first time, teams will be required to enter pit road for a full stop. The order that cars exit pit road will determine how they line up for the sprint to the $1 million payout.
The pit crew is going to be under the gun and under pressure to get the job done to get you out first, Kyle Busch said after Wednesdays announcement.
May ALL your water hoses be unfrozen today.
It’s 4 pm and almost 80 degrees here.. I could use some ice about now. :-)
80 degrees would be a heat wave in Eureka! It is currently 60 at the airport and was 65 in the garden at 3pm
NASCAR To Meet With Edwards, Keselowski: NASCAR Vice President of Competition Robin Pemberton said Wednesday that officials from the sanctioning body will meet with #99-Carl Edwards and #12-Bred Keselowski and their respective team owners at some point this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, site of Sunday’s Food City 500. What Pemberton wouldn’t discuss is what is likely to be said at those meetings. But it’s a pretty good bet there will be a stern warning to both drivers to stay away from each other. In April 2009 at Talladega Superspeedway, the two made contact at the start-finish line on the final lap of the race. Keselowski won, Edwards bounced off the hood of Ryan Newman’s car and into the catchfence separating the cars from the grandstands. At Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 7, the two locked horns again, this time twice. The first contact, which occurred early in the race, resulted in Edwards going into the wall and losing more than 100 laps for repairs. The second contact occurred two laps before the scheduled end of the Kobalt Tools 500, when Edwards deliberately bumped Keselowski, turning his car sideways, whereupon it rolled upside down on its roof at 190 miles per hour. For making that move, Edwards received probation for three races.(SPEED)(3-18-2010)
I have been peering into my old Yogi Bear Snow Globe and I see rain on Saturday and Sunday at Bristol. Should I pack my my swim suit and spend the weekend at Norm’s beach side cottage?
