I’m thinking DJ and Boris would make a big improvement on their coverage.

Which car would you like me to drive? First of all I want to be sure all the lug nuts are tight.

I have never had a loose wheel Lucille and you have a choice of the 1 - 2 - 5 -12.

Your busy? I understand...

They should all be good picks for the league as long as they don’t have water in the fuel cell. :D

I don’t hunt anymore, but it doesn’t faze me. Got to where no one would eat venison but me, so I quit.

I heard an interview with Kyle Petty on sirius Nascar Radio (listen to nothing else) yesterday.
A question was asked of Kyle if he was concerned that the ratings for NASCAR viewership were down.
Kyles response...........twenty years ago we had no ratings, so to say that ratings are down, why be concerned!! At least we have ratings! LOL

We were going to go to the Phoenix race, but changed our minds. Decided to go to Texas instead. But we changed our minds once again. I am not going to go see a race that either Jeff or Jimmie will probably win. Past 4 times at Charlotte have been 2-Jimmie, one- Jeff, and last year....finally Kasey Kahne broke the monotony for the fall race.

If our man Carl Edwards was in a better position to win it all, we might have gone. It is just not the same not being able to cheer for Mark Martin every week.

What I really want is two tickets to Bristol! Who cares who wins......well, I still care but.......

WCG, thanks for the ping and a great looking thread!

Tim Brewer....

...is an idiot and needs to be banned from TV.

It's like they hired the first person that could not talk, had no broadcast experience what so ever, etc. And Tim was the first one to walk through the door that met those qualifications. I swear, the producers had one too many beers and said, "Hey, this will really git 'em going - let's hire that Tim guy. The price is right!"

/rant off.

You do know Jeff has never won at Texas and Edwards won the first fall race there.

I think so too. However, I did agree with him on the pitcrew bonus problem. They should have to pay everything back they’ve won if their driver crashes due to loose lug nuts with eventual failure of the entire wheel.

I have a feeling someone else will win, but I can't figure out who. :D Well, I think I do, but I can't tell you. lol Considering I had the worst score ever last week in the FRFL I'm reconsidering my picks. Of course it was the "B" and "C" drivers that did me in. Considering my driver lost an engine [what a surprise] in April at Texas, I'm just hoping he finishes in one piece this week, then it's only 2 more races to go. I have never wished for the end of racing season until this year.

BTW to all who play the league this is NOT a COT race. Be sure to change your picks Thursday night.

I never did get into the league. But I plan to start fresh next year.
Being a good driver with good equipment is not enough to win a championship. Luck plays a substantial role and so far Jeff and Jimmie have had all the luck. It makes me sick.

From Jayski... Bill Davis Trucking files Chapter 11...

#

# Bill Davis Trucking Files for Bankruptcy: Bill Davis Trucking Inc. of Batesville, Ark. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Bill Davis, company president, is widely known as owner of a NASCAR team. The company’s attorney, Geoff Treece of Little Rock, declined to comment on the pending case. A meeting with creditors is scheduled for Dec. 18, according to an Oct. 22 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District Arkansas in Batesville. Chapter 11 allows restructuring of debt so that a company can continue to operate. A list of assets and liabilities is not currently available. The deadline for filing that is Nov. 6. Davis also owns Bill Davis Racing, based in High Point, N.C. It had been speculated that his NASCAR team would potentially be sold or bought into.(Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

I saw the most amazing sight I think I have ever seen. I was over at our Church about 9:30 checking on the building project and we heard this sound like thousands geese flying over as about 500 kids for the Washington Elementary school marching down the sidewalk and they all had on costumes including the crossing guards and room moms.

They were grouped by class with kindergarten first and on up the class. The line must have been 3 blocks long and they were all jabbering. It was the profound and orderly that I forgot to take any photos.

Their destination was the Safeway store across the street and I swear they all went in at the same time. It must have coordinated with management. I told the carpenters that Halloween was being banned in some schools and here were hundreds of kids in costumes with the blessing of the school district.

I have no idea what it cost Safway or the cnfusion it must have been in the store. I never thought to walk down to the front of the store and check...

Never really saw that coming, but I guess it's inevitable sometimes.

Wanna buy a race team????
