"...SEC's overinflated ego and sense of entitlement"
Utter crap. The SEC is, by far, the best conference in the country.
BTW, which pathetic conference does your team play in?

Man oh man is there going to be a firestorm tonight in either Ann Arbor or Gainesville. Underlying all of this of course is the Big Ten vs. the SEC. The SEC is still upset about Auburn being passed over by Oklahoma a couple of years ago. If their conference champ is excluded by a team that finished second in the Big Ten then look out. Either way this story will dominate ESPN this week regardless what happens in the NFL.

USC had been ever more dominant lately against their rival but UCLA couldn't have picked a better time to snap that streak.

2) Vote against the SEC's overinflated ego and sense of entitlement You know, you almost had me convinced until you threw in that cheap shot. How many other conferences can produce four 10+ win teams, nine bowl eligible teams. If you answered none, you'd be right, and if you also answered "none" to your knowledge of the SEC, you'd also be right!

So where do you think LSU winds up going depending on who gets the #2 spot tonight?
To: MikefromOhio
I just have a problem with a team that DOES NOT WIN IT'S CONFERENCE having a shot at a National Title. Oh come on! You're just afraid of a rematch on neutral territory. Go Blue.
To: mainepatsfan
If Florida goes to the BcS Title game, LSU is in the Sugar where they'll annihilate Notre Dame. If the BcS takes Michigan, they're headed for Pasadena and the grudge match with USC in the Rose...
Honestly though, I don't think Michigan or Florida can handle OSU for four quarters...

Not a bad scenario either way. Of course in terms of travel expenses it'd be better for the LSU faithful if Florida gets the nod.
To: mainepatsfan
It would be the perfect way to end the season if LSU plays in the Superdome a year after Katrina, especially against Notre Dame. There's a big love-hate thing with the Irish down here.
Now, if the Saints can just win a spot in the playoffs....

If they do go out to Pasadena I wonder what type of USC team they'll face. One angry or dispirited over their loss to UCLA?
To: rodguy911
8:00 pm ET tonight on Fox we'll find out. The Cowboys-Giants game will be a great lead in to that.

Diddle, I'm really disappointed in you, man. The point is that those two guys DID get kicked off the team, forever.
You don't do anyone any good by bearing false witness against someone's character that way.
Sorry your 'horns choked at the end of the year against KSU and the Aggies; try to get over it and cheer up.

Ok, I take one week off from watching college football (prior engagement) and you guys (and gals) let everything go to h^ll. I'm gonna have to scratch my head over this one...Ok..Ohio State vs. Florida in the BCS Championship.

now THAT hurts ::: smile :::
re: the "who plays in the NC" part of this thread, I don't really care who plays for the NC - tOSU is a great team (but I've seen better)... on one of USC's good weeks they could beat them - but USC hasn't strung together the good weeks to make it to the NC.
I think FLA will get beaten by 10 pts if they play, it might be a game but I don't think FLA can beat tOSU.
I do think it seems odd to have a rematch of the MICH - tOSU game as the NC game but for anyone who plays in the Big Ten - "the shoe" @ tOSU is a VERY hard place to play as a visiting team. The Michigan bowl is no where near as loud. So for tOSU to win only by 3 at home -- I would not mind seeing a rematch in a neutral site. if they had beaten MICH at MICH - I would think differently.
But I really don't care.
I think USC and MICH match up pretty good - but USC could win that game - if they play like they did against the domers. too bad no one told them the UCLA game was a big game - they seem to be ready for big games...
I'll come back and apologize to FLA Freepers in January if they win whatever bowl they're in, but I think they will be out matched whoever they play.
But anyway, Go Hawkeyes!

Pete Carroll looked pissed at the end of the game, and he just sounded like John Effin' Kerry who was playing Sore Loserman '06...He should look pissed because that was the biggest choke job since ......... the end of last years championship game against Texas.
To: i362000
yeah I knew I was forgetting someone. However, Wisconsin is ineligible due to Ohio state and Michigan already going to the BCS.
