Speaking as a die hard DJ fan.....
Somebody needs to slap the snot out of....and slap some driver ability into........
the driver of the #42 machine----Jammy McMary.
What an absolute idiot, talent challenged, driver.
Let's start with the Busch Race last night. The boy crashed 3 times.
THREE TIMES.
At least one of those was doing the same thing he did to the #15 car tonight - driving underneath a car - IN A TURN - and could not keep the car in line.
In the interview afterwards - after his THIRD CRASH - he as much said so, "can't drive in on the low side unless you know for certain your car will stick - otherwise you take out the car up (outside) from you."
Then the non-talented punk added the comment, laughing, "Rusty is going to call me and yell at me for wrecking his stuff..."
All smiles. No big deal.
Ha - friggin' - ha.
RUSTY - he may make a great son-in-law, but he flat out sucks as a driver, ok?
And Mr. Zero Talent does it again tonight. The very same thing he said not to do the previous night.
And he takes out the #15 and #88 cars.
What a zero - moron - no talent POS.
Mikey said later that he thought he had a tire problem - video clearly shows the Mr. No-talent's car sliding up the track into the #15 car - just like he said - from yesterday's race - you should not do.
I'm pissed because a no-brain driver took out Mikey Waltrip - he had a hot car.
I'm pissed because DJ got caught up in the crap caused by a no-brain driver.
Nascar needs a new rule..............
"Sorry, boy - you got no brains. You have demonstrated that in consecutive races. Park it. Take your dyed, Califungus look somewhere else. Perhaps tractor pulls."
Wouldn't have a problem with the corners there, would ya, McMary.
What a no-talent punk.

Darn it, I fell asleep and missed most of the race. I'll have to catch the replay on Speed. So will my friend who I taped it for. I got the football game on the beginning and missed the end.

It was great to see David Reutimann finish on the lead lap. This was his first Nextel Cup race.

"You're up next week for Martinsville.. Oh man, what will happen next week? :-\ "Well the track hasn't been resurfaced but it's Martinsville ya know. I hope it's not on after a football game, and that there's a little bit of racing. I hope the wreckers don't get more track time than some of the cars!!
I was shocked when I heard Nascar actually held up the green flag for us few [MILLIONS] of fans waiting for the race out here. Maybe if I have time I will look to see what the pre-race show was all about. At least Humpy does know how to throw a party.
My notes say Martinsville is NOT impound but who knows these days, Nascar could change their mind in the next several minutes. I think the next track they build should be a Bristol clone. NO more 1 1/2 mile tracks Nascar! And while I'm at it they need to stop messing with the cars and the rules. This year has been the worst fiasco in their history IMO.
To: NEPA
I advise to not waste your time. Easily the worst race in recent memory. I hung in only because I had missed the last few; oh, and of course because of the excellent company of the NASCAR Freeper crew.

Saturday Night Blowout in Charlotte
Dale Jr. and many others succumb to blown tires
Saturday nights UAW-GM Quality 500 was a blowout in the truest sense, as tire issues caused a good majority of the 15 cautions and one red-flag period that plagued this race. With a levigated surface making speeds faster than ever at the 1.5-mile Lowes Motor Speedway, the heat build-up proved too much for many of the tires, leading to massive blowouts and a garage-full of wreckage. At least 13 drivers fell victim to popped tires, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., whose #8 Budweiser Chevrolet was in seventh place and climbing when its right-front tire came apart on lap 61, sending car and driver hard into the turn 1 wall. Dale Jr. was checked out and released from the infield care center with no injuries, but the damage to his car was terminal. He finished 42nd with only 61 laps completed and dropped to 20th in the point standings. Jimmie Johnson won the event, passing Joe Nemechek with nine laps to go and holding off Kurt Busch in a green-white-checkered finish to win. It is Johnsons fourth win in a row at LMS.
Dale Jr. Quotes:
Did you have any indication that the tire was going down?
Not at all. It just went Bam! when it blew out and Bam! when I hit the wall. It was loud, sounded like a shotgun going off. Hitting the wall that fast, it hurts, but Im OK. I had a great car. Man, that thing was flying. We were going to have a great night. Im just excited about next week and the rest of the year. That car was flying. Its a shame. That was a new car, and we were going to test it next week at Atlanta. I guess our plans have now changed, because the cars tore up. I just want to thank (crew chief) Tony (Eury) Jr. and the Bud crew. They gave me an awesome car. We were really running great, and I was really excited. Im really trying hard to give my fans something to be happy about and something to look forward to."
What caused the tire failure?
Were not sure. You never really know exactly what it is. My car was tight. We didnt have a lot of camber in the tires, so that really wasnt an issue. The track obviously has caused tire issues all weekend. And with the tightness in the car beating the right-front up, I guess it couldn't handle it.
With the track the way it is, how much concern was there going into this race?
I was really concerned. After last night (with a track-record 14 cautions in the Busch Series race), everybody was having some tire problems, and having trouble getting a hold of the race track. We dont blow too many tires out because of camber issues and air pressure issues, so its kind of odd for us to have this kind of trouble with our cars. I dont know, it happens. Its happened all year. Im not the one to point the finger, and I wouldnt know where to point it anyways.
Best Radio Chatter:
Dale Jr. narrowly escaped early disaster on pit road following a lap-32 pit stop when the bobbing of cars in and out of their respective pit stalls nearly resulted in a multi-car collision. Junior made minor contact with one of the cars.
Dale Jr.: What did I do to my left-front there? He stopped too damn short. (Pause) So hows the fender look?
Tony Eury Jr. (crew chief): Looks good. Tires look good, too.
Dale Jr.: Im just worried about my fender, because I want my car to drive good.
Tony Jr. (after taking another look as the Bud Chevy rolled by): Yeah, youre cool. Definitely.
Dale Jr.: How much box (or room in the box) did I have to my right?
Tony Jr.: How much box to the right? Id say about a foot-and-a-half, wouldnt you say guys?
Greg Osborne (car chief): Well check the tape.
Following the tire blowout and resulting wreck that put the Bud team out of the race, Dale Jr. offered a few works of encouragement to his team before climbing out of the car.
Dale Jr.: Hey (Tony) Junior, thanks for this race car. It was hauling ass.
Tony Jr.: The good thing is youre OK. We were fortunate the tire blew out where it did (on the straightaway rather than the turns). Keep your head up.
As the car was being brought back to the garage and before the team was able to fully inspect the race car:
Jimmy Kitchens (spotter): "Hey guys, are we done or should I stay up here?"
Tony Jr: "We haven't taken a look, but I'd say we're done. Especially since we don't know what's goin on with these tires, I'm not gonna send our cowboy back out there to get hurt. We need him healthy for the rest of these rodeos..."

Report: ABC/ESPN to pay $280 million for NASCAR TV rights
By DAVID POOLE
The Charlotte Observer
CONCORD, N.C. - The New York Times reported Saturday that ABC/ESPN will pay $280 million a year in a six-year deal to broadcast NASCAR races from July to November.
If that number turns out to be accurate when the deal is finalized, it would represent a 40 percent increase over the average of $200 million per year NBC and TNT have paid for those rights in the contract that expires after the 2006 season.
The Observer first reported Friday that NBC Sports had decided the price NASCAR wanted for rights in the next contract was higher than the network through the package was worth, so it had withdrawn from negotiations.
NBC also waived a clause in the current deal to allow NASCAR to hold discussions with other potential partners. Spokespersons for NASCAR and ABC/ESPN told the Times that no deal is done and no announcement is scheduled.
Fox Sports is expected to continue carrying Nextel Cup races from February until July each season.

Stewart -- who at one point radioed his crew that he needed "a renewal of my life insurance policy"
Lowe's race turns into dangerous debacle
By Jenna Fryer, AP Motorsports Writer | October 16, 2005
CONCORD, N.C. --Slumped over and scowling, Tony Stewart made no effort to mask his disgust after finishing a race in which he feared for his safety. He wasn't alone.
"This is the biggest joke in racing I've ever seen," said Harvick, who crashed hard after blowing tires in both the Nextel Cup race and Friday night's Busch Series event.
"It's just terrible. Everybody is just out there, knowing that at any moment the tires are going to pop. It's pretty disgusting and pretty embarrassing for our sport."
Asked what NASCAR could do to fix the problem, Harvick didn't hold back: "Throw the checkered flag and get the hell out of here," he said. "That's the best thing they can do."
Stewart -- who at one point radioed his crew that he needed "a renewal of my life insurance policy" when they asked if he needed anything -- ended up finishing 25th and blew all of his 75-point advantage in the standings.
"It's just one of those screwed-up nights that's probably going to dictate the way the Chase comes out," Stewart growled. "It's over with. We're stuck with it the way it is.
"It just sucks when you're the fastest car and something that's out of your control happens like that that really shouldn't happen."
NASCAR took the unusual step of issuing a mid-race mandate on air pressure requirements for the right front tires, then sent its inspectors up and down pit road to make sure teams were obeying the order. Those reluctant to meet the mandate were told they would be docked points.
Stewart said it was one of the most bizarre things he had seen NASCAR do in his career.
"I thought I'd seen all the craziest things I'd think I could ever see in this sport and (this) just proved to me there will be something else down the road that will keep that line open in my head that we're not done seeing stupid things happen," he said.
But NASCAR president Mike Helton, in a rare post-race interview session, defended his mandate.

WOW CONCORD, N.C. -- NASCAR officials were so concerned with the rash of blown tires Saturday at Lowe's Motor Speedway that they contemplated calling the event early due to competitor mechanical problems for the first time in the sport's history.
"I cannot remember a precedent," NASCAR spokesman Jim Hunter said. "I think that was a first."
Hunter said discussion of a cancellation began near the midway point of the UAW-GM Quality 500. Nascar
