Well, it's a 500-mile race, so Biffle should go boom.
Kenseth is closing (down to 2.1 seconds back), then 2nd-Row Joe is 3.5 back.

I've been off and on sick since the Inauguration. Rest, liquids, FReeping. That's all I'm allowed to do.

I've been off and on sick since the Inauguration. Rest, liquids, FReeping. That's all I'm allowed to do.I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers for your recovery. I've been pretty much in that situation too. Had surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow and sitting up on the couch watching the race is not keeping me in the position I am supposed to sit in. :-)

This is looking like a Roush weekend; Biffle in front, Kenseth 2nd, Backflipper 4th, Rubberhead 7th and Martin "bringing up the rear" in 10th.

Announcer said Goodyear came to this race with tires that would purposefully give up sooner than the ones in Daytona in order to change the complexity of the race.
I don't know if this is true or not, but if it is, IMO it is wrong of Goodyear to assume the role of altering the race format and/or outcome, as well as put the lives of the drivers in danger by forcing rapid-wear tires on them.
