Captain Kirk slowed before recording a lap and won't be racing tomorrow; under caution while they check the track for fluid. BTW, that now guarantees Randy LaJoie a spot.

Kyle is this year's Vickers.
Rubberhead puts in a 38.790.

That Big Brown Truck puts down a 38.580 (4th-fast).

Fox is forgetting about the Champ's provisional (either Texas Terry or Dollar Bill can turn in a slow time and claim it, bumping the 8th-fastest field-filler).
I'll bet Jr is glad they took his California car away; Mikey put in a 39.162.

Wow Mikey and Dale Jr's crew have a very aggressive shock package. Like almost crash package.

$$ Bill had a pretty good second practice yesterday, I'm guessing he can make it on his own.

Speaking of McVickers - 38.351 gets him into the front row.

I did have him as a pick in "C" but chose to stick with Joe and Riggs.

Looks like it's Yates' turn to get the bad motors.
Call him 2nd-row Joe - 38.392 is good for 4th.

Field-filler update after Bill Elliot's 38.824 -
IN - Andretti, Crash, Mike Wallace, LaJoie, Dollar Bill, Texas Terry (via at least the Champ's provisional)
OUT - Barrett, The Other Sadler, Boyd, Captain Kirk
Left to qualify - Texas Terry (in line for the Champ's provisional), Eric McClure (must make it on speed)

Now THAT's horsepower.
Speaking of horsepower, Biffle is the fastest Ford at 38.502, doesn't crack the top 4.

Of course, I could've been wrong about Jr being happy his California car is now Mikey's - his 39.574 is far worse than Mikey's.

Yep another one of my big guns bites the dust. It's just the luck of the draw, I should have taken that into consideration but who know whether the sun is out early or late. That's asking too much I guess. :)
Man he's killing me with these flat tracks.
