If they stop at the eastern end of Imperial County that’s an area that extends about 50 ft from the border.
The numbers are confusing but if it is a strip from Otay Mesa California to
Yuma Arizona it may just be several Feet.?

I’ve spent many days in a Jeep from Tecate heading East on the Border fence line almost to the Imperial County border line of El Centro,Beautiful but Very Rugged!
