Much of the fraud involved Federal funds that were allocated to Minnesota. Federal funds come with an obligation to distribute and use legally. If Federal finds were criminally used, it is imperative that Federal agents investigate and ultimately prosecute the criminals.

It's a federal program, but the states are responsible for administering it. That's how federalism works.

It's not the responsibility of federal agents to root out the fraud, it's the responsibility of state overseers to ensure that fraud is not occurring.

The state of Minnesota failed to administer its own implemention of the federal program, and the accountability falls on them, not federal agencies, for letting the fraud continue for so long.

For so many years the liberals have used laws they got into the system to attack certain people or try to further their agenda. History has displayed the liberals acts to be unconstitutional only when it suites them. So they fluctuate between using the law and complaining about it to accomplish their power reach. They are in a complaining status with this one.

If it was up to them, they’d get rid of laws and do their work with on the spot determinations, thus constantly varying from any consistency to protect the entirety. And to further display this effort they found it is hard to get a law off the books so they try to get rid of the enforcement part of the laws by cutting down the police funding and trying to replace them with liberal educated social workers. So follow for them, ignore for them, or just plain not be able to do anything about it to/for them.

If Kamala had known that she could have had extra campaign funds.

I’m really afraid to find out what the president’s going to do when he finds out how much fraud European Americans are responsible for in this country.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, let’s see an analysis of fraud on a per capita basis comparing European and Somali immigrants.
Interesting that this guy is sticking up for samalis and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida A&M University.
A&M is a historically Black College.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s one of those self hating white people.
Carter is Black, but American Black, not Somali. I think at this point he’s trying to preserve his political relevance and possible future. He was beaten in the general election by an Asian woman who ran to his left.
Carter was a decent mayor, in that he was more concerned with jobs, development, and preserving the tax base. The last Democrat mayor of St. Paul who did that eventually found himself pushed out of the party and turned Republican.
Feds shouldn't investigate federal crime - this is Africans vs. Europeans.
Then they wonder why everyone thinks they're so dumb.
Individual Somalis can be decent people. Whenever I must interact with a group of them, though, I need to go watch BLACK HAWK DOWN again to make myself feel better.
“To make all laws necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution...”
That applies to federal powers; the ninth and tenth amendments protect the state's powers from federal overreach.
The federal powers created the federal programs, but the tenth amendment prevents the federal agencies from administering the programs within the states directly. The states must operate those programs themselves.
In fact, just look at the states that are refusing to make SNAP data available to the federal government. That should be proof enough that it's the states that have the responsibility to run and oversee the programs, not the federal government.
If they feds had the authority to run the programs, they wouldn't need the states to send them SNAP data.
