I can write some amazingly convincing ads, GOPAC should pm me.
The feckless Republicans are going to let the Democrats drive us into a recession. The Dems will make the poor economy the centerpiece of their campaign, correctly saying that it is the Republicans fault because the Republicans control the govt and could have kept it from happening.
Flush the Filibusters and all DemonRATS with it.
Eye Roll
I’m a bit surprised at this. I figured the Dems would finally agree to end the shutdown now that the election was over and they no longer needed to spin up the base.
Leader Thune reminds me of Charlie Brown, always ready to believe that this time he will get to kick the football.
When will he realize the guys on the other side are dishonorable America haters and learn to play to win for America?
They have some leverage. Why would they give that up?
I don’t need their money, nor do I want their taxes.
Close the whole thing down for a year!
Starve the Democrat.
I’ll buy a boat and sail to the mainland.
and get a horse to go where I want to.
Fuck the Democrat party and it’s members.
we don’t need their government.
>> I figured the Dems would finally agree to end the shutdown now that the election was over and they no longer needed to spin up the base.
That’s what the talking newsheads were saying non-stop. Guess they are not as infallible as they would have you believe.
And the Democrat tactics work because the electorate, by and large are ignorant, ill informed, and have no business voting in elections. Although it would be far from a cure-all, repealing the 26th Amendment, which lowered the voting age to 18, would be a good start towards improving the quality of the electorate.
There’s a reason we have minimum age requirements. I understand the argument back at the time the Amendment was adopted, but it was never the less a mistake. A better solution would have been to raise the draft age to 21 rather than lowering the voting age to 18.
100% Scorched earth time. It’s a cold civil war and compromise is outta the question.
They don’t have enough votes in the Senate right now to eliminate the filibuster.
IDK why at least they can’t eliminate filibusters for CRs like they do for budgets and SC nominees.
But they really should get rid of the filibuster, otherwise none of Trumps EOs will stand if Dems get back in.
>> They have some leverage. Why would they give that up?
That they have “some leverage” is nothing but a psy-op. A chimera. Hope the Stupid Party doesn’t fall for it.
The government is still closed. The Republicans are in charge of all three branches of government.
It's a cunning political move by the Democrats.
We need to do what it takes to keep the PRs out of the Senate. There are too many homos in the Senate already and they’ve all got things for hispanics.
>> The Republicans are in charge of all three branches of government.
Obviously that’s a falsehood. They have a majority in the Senate, but that doesn’t constitute “being in charge” of the legislative branch because a supermajority is required to move legislation.
Stress thecIllegals issue, EVERY DAY.
Stupid rule.
Nuke the filibuster!
>> Nuke the filibuster!
I’m with you, but better be sure not to lose the Senate in ‘26!
