Oh I have no illusions about China, they engaged in the likes of Industrial espionage the world had never seen. Yet our politicians allowed it to happen for the last 40 years with no consequences and got paid off in the process. They never honored patents or intellectual property laws, i.e. they never paid any licensing fees or royalties on stolen ideas and technologies.
The total financialization of our manufacturing economy is also the total fault of the Government and Trade Policy. We totally enabled the trade policies and now it’s way too late to anything about it. Those manufacturing jobs will not come back to the U.S. unless this country does a 180 Degree pivot back to pure Capitalism which means getting rid of a broad number of rules and regulations that are the products of Progressive Politics going back 80 years, and that will not happen.
So what is the endgame, well we are a failing empire that had a short lifespan, roughly 85 years, we are being defeated from the inside by our Debt and Deficit which cannot be be controlled due to corruption on a massive scale in D. C..
Sooner rather than later we will Default on the Debt and the government will collapse, chances are the country will spilt up into several counties and that will be the end of the U.S.. Our future as a viable country is shaky at best.
Trump has become the War President as that is the last gasp to find a way out of the Financial Mess we are in and it will fail.

Gee, I didn’t know that tariffs are taxpayer money. President Trump has said he’s using tariff money to help the farmers, not taxpayer money.
