I just saw a news report saying the Iranian supreme leader has turned over his power to the Iranian Republican Guard Corp. This would explain them launching these type bigger missiles.

Na , Israel would never shoot back ,D’oh

The panic is that Israel is near to running out of defensive missiles.
The “supreme” leader is most likely in China now.

Well, did they hit anything besides sand?

They can keep him
To: SaveFerris
Missiles exist that can fly these speeds.

Low Earth Orbit speed is 17,000 mph.

Yes but that’s getting in the range of MIRVs coming down from suborbital altitudes
Good thing they don’t have miniaturized nuclear warheads
Obviously, because they’d likely already have used them
Now if Pakistan supplies....
If I read it correctly (with sleepy eyes) it’s a two-stage solid-fuelef missile

Give or take a few mph ... “Low Earth Orbit” is a range, not one specific altitude. Since ISS is in a LEO orbit, it’s moving at approximately 17,000 mph.

What I would be concerned about right now is, Iran could be in its last days of existence, what capabilities could they have we don’t know about.
We know they have enriched uranium to near weapons grade, could they put enough of that enriched uranium into one of these missiles and launch it at Israel as a type of dirty bomb.
If Iran is on its knees, they might be desperate enough to launch a dirty bomb at Israel and not be concerned with a real nuclear bomb coming back at them.
