For amusement, I go to the State Dept’s website and look at travel advisories.

Mexico’s is very comprehensive and even breaks down the danger by state/province.

All I can say is that it doesn’t look very safe much of anywhere there.

I appreciate cruise ports in Mexico where I can buy antibiotics without a prescription. Almost never leave the port areas, though; it never seemed safe — even in the ‘70s.
