I know it’s not just young people inside. Many stories of all the fast food places involved the drive thru, too.

One sad one. A young black woman was working inside at the drive thru. A car with three young black men came up and due to a mistake by workers inside they took it out on her.

The driver reached inside and pulled her out through the narrow window, dropping her headfirst between the curb and the side of the car and beat her. Two others in the car started stomping and kicking her and then the driver pulled out and got away. Later arrested due to cameras.

About three miles north is another shopping center with a 7-11. In 1970, court-ordered desegregation busing in Alexandria began. The students bussed to Hammond High School were mostly ghetto rats from George Washington High School. There was a race riot on the first day of school. Cops suppressed it. After the first day of school, I could not go into the 7-11 until 6 p.m. because the rats had taken over the front and were stealing the proprietors blind.
