I think a note of trivia should be injected here vis a vis, Lilly Gadis(sp).

When one uses the...n word with an a at the end instead of the standard er, then it is urban slang for a dude, not a derogatory term for the Negroes.

Personally, I do not use the n word either in its urban dude form or its derogatory form for the colored people because I am a gentleman.

I also warned my Negro friends not to use the n word because if they do use it, then David Duke; etal, will use it and say that the targets of the epithet use it all the time so why can he not use it? It is bad tactics for Negroes to use the n word.

I think I should add that I am sympathetic to this woman and the money she rakes in. I have a temper too that I try to control so I can understand her remark.

I'm an old lady now, but worked for 25 years in uniform in NY State's prison system. I only worked in male facilities. When I'd hear black inmates calling each other the n word, I told them if I wasn't allowed to call them that, then neither were they, and I didn't want to hear it said in my presence. They knew enough not to say anything back to me.
